Looking for the best way to predict future effort and project allocation
We have been struggling to find the best way to not only monitor and predict work loads of staff members but to also ensure that each critical path task has an assigned team member. I'm reading through the similar posts and though they are intuitive none of them are flexible to accommodate shifting schedules and derailments.
Tasks have Start Dates and Due Dates that ultimately depict the length of the effort to be applied. this may not be the case.
I need a way to show my team that a task can not be started until the Start Date, is Due by the Due Date and has a predicted effort of X hours. Currently A Start Date of today and a Due Date of tomorrow shows the individual busy for 8 hours....
Looking for a better way to accomplish utilization predictions
