[Status: Not planned] Project/Folder Dependencies
Hello,
Something that I would be useful would be the ability to assign project/folder dependencies. Example:
Project: SQL Server Update
Folder: Reporting Rework (Depends upon completion of entire SQL Server Update project)
Task: Create XYZ report (Depends upon completion of SQL Server Update as a whole)
I hope that makes sense, basically just taking Dependencies and expanding them so they can be on projects/folder and also so that an assigned dependency can point to a Project/Folder.

Sad that this is still not planned, Dependencies between projects and folders would be very useful, as long as they can be more "general" dependencies or links/cross references, like "related to", not only "required before start"
Here are some other threads talking about this (or at least similar enough to be solved by same feature..) :
Im sure there are more since cross referencing tickets is a MAJOR need in project planning and follow up.
But the links above should count as at least 114 upvotes if I calculated them correctly.
Wrike is a good tool in many other ways, but the lack of this, or easy workaround truly baffles me.

We’d love to be able to implement all of the suggestions that our customers share with us, but we have to prioritize certain requests over others based on various factors and considerations at the time. @Wrike Product Team: Another vote for this expanded (and commonly implemented elsewhere) view of object dependencies. 3+ years of sustained community support and still not on the roadmap? You can do better.

Bumping this thread. We need cross project dependencies as well!
This is critical to us developing road maps from our project portfolio...the inability to show project dependencies currently means we are exporting data into another tool and that is a time burden. (our CSM informed us that tasks can be linked across projects but that results in a really unappealing visual) We present roadmaps by vertical and need a great project tool to get er done!

Upvoted - I think projects should very well have dependencies between each other. Folder dependencies in my mind don't seem as valuable as it's just a means of categorizing work, but projects should be able to have predecessors and successors just like tasks can as they are actual work. We usually have to go in manually and tie the last task of Project A with the first task of Project B, however human error can happen when doing manual work like this and it would be much more simple to have Project B depend on Project A, for example, as it encompasses the total of their subtasks. With over 230 upvotes from 7 years ago, I'm wondering why this is still not planned!
Upvoted....this is a requirement for my team. We can workaround through inter-project dependency alignment....but the ability to have projects as dependencies for other projects would be ideal for cross-departmental collaboration.

I find it interesting to note that there are hundreds of requests for this feature which started in 2017 however, it never makes it into a sprint or even a backlog. Why is this and when can we expect to see it on at least a roadmap?
