Form submission raw data supplied in Wrike notification email to user
Now that we can port many of our form inputs into our custom fields, these answers do not show up in the email that Wrike generates internally to users. Only the data that is ported to the description portion of the ticket is shown.
Is there a way to have this first email notification from Wrike look more like the confirmation email that the requestor receives when submitting the form? We would like to see this raw data at a glance.
Use Case:
- User submits request form to the team
- User receives confirmation email of all data input into request form in one place
- A project is created from the request, and assigns a specific Wrike collaborator
- Wrike collaborator receives notification in Inbox
- Wrike collaborator receives email notification (per user settings) with all data input into request form, including custom field entries
We would like the collaborator to be able to print out or have a record of the inputs that were sent to the form without having to log in to Wrike.
Kim, this is really interesting! Could you please tell me a bit more about the processes you have set up for your Collaborators? Do they interact within Wrike at any point, or do they only use email notifications for receiving info?
Hi Anastasia,
There is a point at which the person who is being assigned these requests is going into Wrike. But, this person is not the approver of the request, nor is the approver ever in Wrike. We need a way to provide all of the information to the approver in one go, without having to point them to Wrike to look up the details. We would like to have one "deliverable" as a sort to provide to the approver that has all the requisite information in one place that is visually pleasing and can be viewed as a whole. The email that the requestor is a great example of what we need on the back end.
Hi Kim, thank you for those additional details! We're definitely going to pass this feedback on to our Product Team, I just want to make sure we're getting the use case correct. Is the approver (the one who doesn't need to go into Wrike), the one who is originally making the request? Or would you like all the details sent via email to the requester so that they can forward the email to the approver?
The approver is not the one making the original request. We would like all the details sent via email to the person assigned the task/project being generated from the request in Wrike. Currently there is no email besides the one being sent to the requestor that has ALL of the raw data input when the form was filled out.
We know the requester is already getting this email. The issue is that they are the only one, and that doesn't work for us. Even providing an option to have the form being submitted to email the user group that owns the folder a copy of that raw data would be helpful.
KIm, thanks, got it! That's definitely helpful (I love how much details you've shared here).
