[Status: Not Planned] TinyURL for Request Forms External Link

It would be great if you could share a bit of detail on your use case and how shorter links could be helpful to you 🙂

Agree with all that this is an essential request! When generating an internal form, you can stomach the link. But once you make it an external link, it gets 3-lines-long and is so embarrassing to send out. Glad to see it under consideration. Thank you!

Our team has released several updates for request forms this year, but the idea to shorten external request form links isn't planned at the moment. Thank you for sharing your feedback and voting here, we'll continue sending your inputs to our Product team responsible for request forms and we'll let you know if anything changes here.

Would be great to have this feature. I see it has been requested for the past 6 years. I think it's safe to say it won't be happening. In the meantime, is there at least a way you all can add a shortening feature similar to bitly since you can't give us custom for external forms?

Hi Void Void, thanks for sharing your interest in this here.

Unfortunately, this request is on the lower side in terms of votes and is therefore yet to receive a status. This means it has not been prioritized for our roadmap as there are other requested features which have higher votes and would have a broader impact for more users. Of course we'd love to be able to implement everything that's suggested here, but we do have to prioritize based on feedback, research, votes etc.

Hi, I'm just jumping in to ask for this same feature 7 years after the first one! It's something we will need more and more now as we create more external forms, the URLs are just totally unmanageable

We were using tinyurl to shorten our links to request forms used by our faculty.  As of now, none of the tinyurls work anymore.   I'm not sure if there was a change on the tinyurl end or the wrike end.    Our web portal doesn't allow URLs that are greater than 120 characters ... the generated Wrike one is 188 characters so without a way to shorten the urls Wrike request forms are a no-go.

Sara, we rely on Wrike forms ourselves but rather that than send faculty the long Wrike URL we embed it within the name of the form they we want them to use when they contact our department.

Rohan V  Due to the sheer volume of fraud and phishing out there now, this NEEDS to be a priority because the cryptic, overly long links made from the Wrike application LOOK LIKE PHISHING or SCAM LINKS.

People are now trained to avoid suspicious-looking links exactly like the ones your product generates.... so yes, this must become a top priority.  You don't want a product that creates strange-looking links that people are now commonly trained to delete upon sight, do you?

I would think Wrike would want to nail down any ambiguity or confusion, and make an effort to stand out and establish their unique and official presence out there for any links that send a user to their flagship product.  Just a thought :)

Hi Basudha, can you please provide an update on progress of this feature request? We want roll out Wrike Forms at a large scale within our organization, and it is a big challenge with these long URLs at this time.

Hi Basudha, just curious.. have there been any internal updates/discussions regarding this request (since your last comment in December 2024)? It is less than pleasant having to share those external form URLs due to the length.
