Hide subtaks on dashboards
I would only like to see the parent task, but not the subtasks under it on my dashboards please.

Hi Dave! It sounds like the general idea here could be similar to: Filter out subtasks in Reports - the difference being that you're asking for the same functionality in different views. Happy to hear what you think about this, I was thinking that maybe we could ask the poster of that request to modify the title so that it would encompass all different views? I think this would help more people find the request :)
I upvoted and responded to the similar idea linked above 4 years ago, but adding my voice here that this functionality is needed on dashboards as well. Just in case the only one focuses on Reports. :)
I know I can create a custom field dropdown type with "task" and "subtask" as options to resolve my issue, but this will take a hefty amount of setup to update all of our blueprints, implement on everything already in the system, and then remembering to do it/make it a habit so nothing falls through the cracks. I just want a checkbox in the dashboard widget filters to not show subitems on the default task type. 🥲 As always, thanks for your time and consideration!
