Template Task Status
It would be great if there were a separate task status specifically for templates.
This would make it easier to set up projects with multiple tasks with dependencies. When the task is set to "Deferred", dependencies cannot be set. But when it is set to "Active", it confuses team members, however temporarily.

I know the overall request sounds slightly different, but I thought it might resonate with your idea: Allow "Planning"/"Template" Mode to Separate Active/On-Hold Projects from Projects Being Planned/Templates.
