Work group view of combined custom calendars
It would be helpful for all in a work group, but especially managers, to have a combined view of the team's custom calendars to easily identify who is on or out on any given day. Currently only Admins receive individual views. Also, would be helpful to have an option in calendars for working remotely.
Hey Kevin! Thanks for posting here. I wanted to make sure that I understood correctly, and you're looking for an option to combine the calendars in this view into one:
Or, perhaps, you were looking for this info to be displayed when scheduling tasks int he Workspace? Looking forward to learning more!
Thanks for the follow-up, Anastasia.
The view you show is only available to Admins. As a manager of a group of 20, and not an Admin, I don't have this view. I also think seeing everyone's calendar would be beneficial to everyone in our group to know who is available to collaborate on a project on a given day.
My request was slightly different than the view you show above. Ideally, I would love to be able the select a specific day and see who is on, off, and who is working but remote from the office. Again, I see this would be beneficial for all department members to see.
We ask all our team members to enter in their calendar any days they have off, so it seems like the data is already being entered to enable this "in-out board" like feature. Hope this is a bit clearer.
Thank you for getting back to me, Kevin! That definitely makes sense. I know this is a bit different, but I was wondering whether you had a chance to try out the Workload View? If so, I'd love to hear your feedback about it!
Anastasia - thank you for the workload recommendation. That got us most of the way there. In an ideal world, the individual's custom calendar would have the ability to denote "working-remote" that would still allow projects to be assigned, but somehow highlight the person was not in the physical office that day. Thanks for the help!
Kevin, thanks for that idea! I can see how that approach could be useful, especially since the modern workspace does usually involve many remote teammates.
