Template
Is there a way to change a template from a project to a task (with sub-tasks)?

I would like this feature as well. We have a large project that involves reformatting hundreds of bios into the new brand. So we have a Refresh Bios project and within that we have about 60+ active bios being formatted. Within is main bio task are subtasks because once its done with layout it then needs to be posted to the website, etc. and this happens through different assignees.
Currently we have a form for them to submit a request for changes to the bio as it gets reformatted. This comes in as a task and we have to manually create the subtasks. I would either like for the form to come in as a 'project from template' and then I can change it to a task or for the form to come in as a task but with the needed subtasks.
Being able to change a project into a task would help keep the form info available in our dashboard.
Hi Scott and Naomi, thank you for starting this discussion! @Scott, it isn't currently possible to do this automatically, but you can create a parent task instead of the Project, and then convert the remaining tasks into subtasks. That said, there's an existing post in our Product Feedback section, and I think you and @Naomi might be interested in voting for it: Convert a Task into a Project (the title is opposite to your suggestion, but both options are actually beign discussed there).
I was creating a request form and noticed that the action it triggers limited to (1) Create Task, (2) Create Project, (3) Duplicating project from template.
We need the feature to let Request Form trigering duplication of task teplates (not projects)
We have a routine collaborative process that occurs 40 times a week and invovles different subtasks and assignees. We don't expect to have 120 new projects appears on our navigation bar EVERY MONTH so duplicating projects fromt emplates is NOT a fitting solution for us.
This should be a small move for a BIG value to the Wrike users since there should be many users having the same problem as we do.
@Anastasia, The solution you presented unfortunately doesn't work for me either because the request form info and any attachments are still housed at the project level. I am with Ivan that this could really be a big win for many many users. Is it possible to offer it as a new feature to vote on and see what others think?
Hi everyone! @Ivan, thanks for posting here and creating a new request post for this - Let Request Forms trigger duplication of Tasks (in addition to duplicating projects). @Naomi, now there's a separate post to vote for this specific functionality. :)
