Split email notifications (@ mentions + assign)

We have created 'ghost' user accounts in our Templates so that when we create new projects we can easily assign the correct team member. Because we have multiple Engineers, Project Managers, etc. we've found this as the easiest way to mass update Projects. The problem is that when we Swap the user to an actual user it sends an email for every single Task/Subtask they are being assigned to. 

It would be much more efficient for our team if the "Someone @mentions me or assigns me a task" it split in half; "Someone @ mentions me" + "Someone assigns me a task." 

Would anyone else find this beneficial?
