New Timeline View

There’s the Timeline View and now there’s a new version of the Timeline View in Wrike Labs* that mirrors a more traditional Gantt chart. We completely rebuilt the Timeline to improve how it works and give you new functionality. In simple terms the new Timeline View has a task table on the left-hand side of the view. Timeline on the right, table on the left.

Who should enable this view?

Enable the view if you want to

• See scheduled tasks side-by-side with tasks which don’t have scheduled due dates.
• Edit (quickly edit) a task’s details using the cell’s in the table.
• Sort tasks differently from the default Timeline View.

Bonus: You’ll probably also like the new Timeline if you’ve worked with a Gantt chart in other project management solutions and are used to having a Gantt chart view that includes a table and timeline (bar chart).

What’s next?

The New Timeline is in Labs for now, so expect more changes before the official release. We’ll create a new post when the new Timeline is out of Labs so keep an eye out for the most recent posts in the Brought to You By Wrike section.
