[Status: Released ๐] Sending comments with plain Enter, adding new lines with Shift+Enter
I keep getting extremely confused by the fact that in Wrike comments are sent by "Shift + Enter" and new line added by "Enter". This is completely opposite behavior than on most other sites / apps, be it Slack, Facebook, Skype, various online support widgets - I believe even Miranda back in the days of MSN had it like that by default.
It would by immensely helpful to have the possibility to set Wrike to send comments by Enter and add a new line by Shift + Enter.
Please fix this, it's exteremlyย annoying after a while. So annoying that we are considering switching to a different product with a sane key mapping.

You can choose your 'send' option for comments setting in your Wrike profile settings. When you first attempt toย write a comment in Wrike you'll see the below pop up so you can make the change there and then.

Interesting, this update has broken using Shift+Enter to send for me. I've been using Wrike for long enough that the way it was is now muscle memory, so rather than switching to just "Enter" I opted for Shift+Enter, but when that's selected all I ever get is a line break regardless of whether I use Enter or Shift+Enter. However if I edit my preference to be "Enter" to send then it works as described. Perhaps this needs to be revisited/retested?
I've tried toggling it back and forth as well as a hard refresh, it's definitely changing - it just doesn't work as advertised!

Hi Lisa, never mind this was just PEBCAK. Shift+Enter isย always a line break, as described in the setting pane the toggle simply reverses the functionality of Enter (alone) and Ctrl + Enter.
At it turns out Ctrl + Enter isn't a combo I ever used. I'm pretty sure that before this feature was released Shift + Enter submitted comments, but I've now retrained my fingers.
