[Status: Launched! ๐] Multiple folders in dashboard widget
When creating a new widget within a dashboard, you can choose a folder from wich tasks should be selected. It would be nice be able to add several folders in this view, and with an additional choice of selecting whether it should include the tasks that remain in either one of the folders, or just the ones that are in both.
Also, when dragging tasks to this widget in the dashboard, the task needs to be put in both folders. (Or maybe one could check/mark the folders that one wanted the tasks added to)
ย
I know that I can achieve somewhat the same behaviour today, by doing a search for "folder:folderB" from within folderA and add this as a widget. But that gives me the problem that when dragging a task to this widget on a dashboard, the task will only be added to folderA. Also it is rather cumbersome to handle widgets this way.
Hi everyone! Great news - you can now add tasks from multiple folders or projects when creating certain widgets!ย ๐ฅ
Thanks so much for your feedback, insights, and support here!

Is it also possible that this feature will only show the projects instead of all tasks? Or that the Project dashboard will allow more folders?
Hello Pieter Koens, yes you can view only projects on Dashboards. I'm not sure if I fully understand what you mean by project dashboard to allow more folders, if it's to view folders and projects together in a widget, I'm afraid it's not possible at the moment.ย

Hi @...,ย
Sorry, I meant when creating the project widget, it will only allow one location. But when I create a custom one it allows multiple locations. My question was if it is possible to allow for multiple locations (Folders, spaces) and that the widget will only show projects. The custom one shows tasks and I want to show the projects. Hope this made my question more clear.
Hi Pieter Koens,
You are right, the projects widget only allows you to select one location. Task widgets will allow multiple locations to be selected, but currently this isn't possible for a projects widget.
The workaround is toย tag all of the project locationsย you want to see in your widget to one folder in Wrike. For example, create a folder in your personal space and tag all of your project locations to this folder. Then select this folder as the source location of your projects widget. You should now see projects from multiple locations in one widget.
Please give it a try and let us know how it goes.ย ๐

Thanks for the tip!
I already found the cause of the problem I was having, but it is nice to know if I ever need it in the future :).
