Use of #notme in Search along with other Filters

I am trying to create a dashboard that allows me to filter on all task that are not allocated to me, but that have certain other custom fields.

I am aware that using Search commend #Notme will return all tasks not allocated to me, but when I try to then apply additional filters to the resulting set of tasks, the #notme disappears from the header that contains the filters.

Other than selecting everyone in the Assignee list, other than myself, I cannot seem to easily create this.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

Hi Philip! I did some testing and got the same result as you. Other search commands seem to work fine along with filters (something I do all the time), so I'm going to create a Support ticket so we could check in with our engineers. Thank you for posting this here!

Hi again! I wanted to share a quick update with everyone: we've just released a fix for the issue described here, and now it's possible to use "notme:" along with other filters. :)

Anastasia,

When I use #notme filter in Dashboards, once I move a task between widgets with different statuses, it changes the status of a task (which is correct) and unassignes everybody from the task (which is wrong). Is it possible to fix?

Thank you!

Hi - we are experiencing a similar issue.  With multiple teams (under the same org umbrella) using Wrike, there are instances where someone needs to only "collaborate" on a task - but they are also a named, licensed user in Wrike.  When their name is added to the task (only for following or informational purposes), it appears on their workload views as a task that they are responsible for.  This causes confusion when they often delete the task, thus causing problems for the team that IS supporting the work.

Is there a way to have "required" people named on a task (i.e. the owner or one responsible) and "optional" people who are only following for informational purposes?  In this way, we wouldn't have a cluttered view of the "work" that is not really work, but only informational in nature.  With over 170 people in our system, it is not feasible to filter on #notme and then just read a list.  People are named on tasks that they are merely "following."  Is there a recommended solution for building a dashboard to see only what you are following and not working?

Thank you!

Michele

Hi Michele, thank you for reaching out here 🙂 There are Dashboard widgets "Tasks assigned to me" and "Tasks I follow", but as you can't unfollow tasks where you are an assignee, the "Tasks I follow" widget will include those tasks as well. Searching tasks using the "#notme" Search command will help to identify tasks where you're not the assignee, but that are shared with you, which is the closest to what you are searching for. Please let me know if you have any other questions 🙌
