Dynamic forms feedback
Loving the new dynamic forms feature (even if it means I basically have to redo all my forms) :).
Some initial feedback though.
Since I can combine many related forms into one, the function to only assign static Place and Assignee becomes limiting. Not sure how to solve it, but I wish I could dynamically connect assignee and place based on which route the form user is taking, like "If you select this option and go to this page, assign user X and place Y".
As an alternative, or complementary feature, I'd love to be able to send a form user to another form based on a selection. From a user perspective, something that seems related on the outside might not be so on the inside, so it would make sense to include it in the same form, but the task will be performed by a whole other department.
Example: Having a dynamic form for content submission, I'd love to have one content submission form to rule them all. But some content are related to site, some content is related to communication, and those are handled by two different departments. They are still content all the same, and I don't want to confuse the form user. They just want to submit content, and not worry which of two or more forms they should start with, only go to the Content submission form, and answer simple questions about what they want to submit, and let the back-end do the rest.
I hope I made my point. Difficult to put in words :)
A few suggestions from someone who would be mainly using Dynamic Forms to gather internal feedback on new product developments.
I'd like to have the ability to:
1) Export/collate received data into a spreadsheet
2) Embed media directly into questions
3) Disable the email address field prior to submission
Understand that perhaps mine isn't the target application for the feature, but if any of the above could be compiled into a future roll out then I would be very keen to use it.
Hi Jezper and Alex, thank you for posting this here, I love this feedback (and so does our Product Team)! It's great hearing from you so soon after new functionality is released, I really appreciate it. @Jezper, our team is already looking into some future enhancements to this feature, and some of your points here were particularly helpful. :)
I really like the new functionality, however I would like that based on the page or selection that the person makes and the form is submitted the new task is created in different folders. This way we can send to different departments or supervisors automatically and not have to sort and rearrange or assign once the form is submitted.
@Kurt, thanks for the comment! These are definitely some great ideas. While it's too early to share the exact additions we're working on, those are some directions we're exploring, so stay tuned. :)
When a form creates a new project from template it would be nice if the title would become the prefix for the tasks and sub tasks as well. Right now it only names the project but doesn't offer a pretext to all of the tasks and sub tasks. Can you please add? Otherwise it doesn't save much time at all.
@Naomi, I’ve noticed you already created a dedicated post for Prefix to project tasks when created by a form and also commented in Request Forms Using Project Templates about this. Thanks for being so proactive because this is just great feedback!
I will personally make sure it gets to the right people to be considered :)
I agree with Jezper and Alex, particularly the feature of having media tied to a form question. At the very least, having a hyperlink available would be great.

I'd like the ability to use the dynamic request forms to not only assign a unique project template, but also independently assign an addition unique task template.
This could be done with a second question field that allows for additional task templates to be pulled in via the form. With that, I could have large projects that also pull a unique set of tasks from a previous, specialized tasks at an earlier date without having to go back and copy from that task every single time.
Hi guys, just to update you here as some members suggested the below feature on this thread.
You can now specify prefixes in Request forms that create Projects from templates. Now, you can select a question to trigger the prefix (except Upload and section header) and the answer to this question will be added as a prefix to all Subfolders/Subprojects, tasks, and subtasks of a Project. The Project title will not have any prefix.
Any questions, let me know.
