Workload - show allocated hours for each day
Currently in the workload view it shows the allocated hours sporadically and not every day. To manage resources it would be great if we could see the total hours booked for each resource on every working day.
I know it changes colour when over 8 hours but I would like to know if say they only have 5 hours scheduled on an 8 hour day and therefore I know they have capacity for other things.
see screenshot it's not very helpful the way it's currently displayed as only certain days display this information??
Hi Martin! All tasks should be shown on the Workload, but there are a few things to check to make sure they're there:
Happy to dig further if this doesn't help, let me know how it goes. :)
I second Martin's post.
The times shown at the bottom of the workload view are also rounding down. If a resources' allocated hours are 5.8 it actually displays 5.
Any way to change this display to show decimals or not round?
Hi Steve, thanks for posting this here! The Workload View does show whole hours, and the values are calculated using mathematical rounding rules. In your case, however, you should see 6 hours on the Workload View, not 5. I'll be happy to open a Support ticket so you could send over a screenshot showing a task (or tasks) with 5.8 allocated hours that show up as having 5 hours on the Workload View. Let me know if you' like me to go ahead and create a ticket. I also want to thank you for sharing your feedback to show decimals on the Workload View!
Hi Anastasia,
You mentioned
Is there a way to be able to view the workload information without scheduling the tasks? We want to see how many hours a user has on their plate without having to have specific dates set
Thanks!
Any progress on whether we can add decimal points? This is really important as we want to track our time in man days i.e. 0.1 man days is 48 minutes and not 1 hour. Please help.
It would be very helpful if there is a line Available hours (green) in the workload schedule
Thank you for your feedback Cees Bakker! As this is an older thread with not much activity, and your suggestion being slightly different from the original post here, I'd suggest creating a new Product Feedback post 👍
