Hi Dave, thanks for posting this here! Thereโ€™s actually a security reason behind the logic you describe: HTML text may contain scripts that the browser must run to render the page, and some scripts may contain malicious code. When you open a file for preview in the browser during an active login session the malicious code might affect the way Wrike works. The situation is different when you open an HTML file saved locally: in this case, the file isnโ€™t opened in your Wrike login session. I hope this makes sense, but please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hmm, so there's no way to have the file saved locally once clicked in Wrike and open in a browser?

Or perhaps the default behaviour could just be to download the file?

Non-coders just find it confusing to be presented with a page of code instead of a rendered page.

I totally understand how confusing if can be to look at the lines of code instead of the HTML page. Your suggestion to change the default behavior for HTML files so that they are downloaded when you click them makes perfect sense, and I will make sure to pass it to our Product team. In the meantime, my recommendation is to download the file (right-click a file and select "Download") and then open it in a browser. I know it's not ideal so I really appreciate that you brought this up.
