Allow to sort "completed" tasks by most current completed
I recently created a widget to show my my completed tasks, but there is no way to sort by date with the most current completed task on top. The result is that I have a useless widget which shows me ancient completed tasks that have nothing to do with my current work/projects. If I want to see anything current, I have to scroll, and scroll...and scroll. Not useful or workable.
Until this changes I just won't be able to use the "completed task" function for a widget.
Hi Inger, thanks for sharing this idea on the Community! It sounds like sorting by "Completed on" dates would be very helpful, and I'll make sure to send people with similar requests to your post so they could add their votes here. In the meantime, I wanted to suggest using the "Completed" filter alongside other ones, such as those for start/due dates. This will narrow down the scope and make sure that ancient tasks aren't included. Happy to hear what you think of this, as well as answer any additional questions! Once again, thank you for sharing your feedback here. :)
OK, I included the Completed On..."this week" filter to the widget, and that definitely at least helped, thanks.
It's still not ideal because I really want to see more than just this week and to really be useful I need to see the most recently completed ones at the top, but at least it does create a somewhat useable widget for me. :-)
Hopefully more people would like to be able to customize the order/date of tasks as well!
Inger, thanks for following up! I'm glad to hear this helped at least a bit. Keep the great ideas coming! :)
I'm the same. I'd like to be able to see my Competed tasks by date, and have them sorted oldest to newest, or vice versa. Right now the report sorts the results by the date with the most tasks completed.
Hi Sterling, thanks for adding your vote here! :)
Hello, new to Wrike here. I was looking for some helpful information on this subject as well. My interest is in being able to see a log of tasks that have been completed during a specific time frame and on what date/time they were marked 'Complete'. I am handling multiple tasks throughout the day and the time tracking feature has not been practical for my work. However, a log of completed tasks would prove very helpful when I need to review and document all of the billable items that were completed in a given day or week. I only bill for tasks that have actually been completed, so it isn't helpful to use the dashboard to filter completed items by date. I tried the 'completed on' filter, but it still doesn't show or sort the tasks by the completion date. Any thoughts?
Hi Candice, thanks for posting your question here! Wrike Reports feature (which is available on Business and Enterprise accounts) can help you to see the list of tasks completed during a specified timeframe. To build a Report:
You can easily sort the Report by completed date: hover over the column name and click on the arrow that appears to sort by this column.
The “Completed on” filter can also help you pull up all tasks whose status was changed to “Completed” on a specified date or timeframe. You won’t immediately see the date tasks were completed on and sort them by completed date in the List View, and this request is exactly about it so it would be nice if you could upvote it if you haven’t done it yet :)
You can still see the date the task was completed on in the task Stream:
You mentioned that “Completed on” filter doesn’t work this way for you; please let me know if it’s still the case and I’ll open a Support ticket on your behalf to help sort this out.

I would like to be able to sort completed tasks as well; my company is not big enough to make the business/enterprise edition practical so we do not have access to reports. I need my accounts person to see that a task has been completed so she can invoice without having to scroll through a long list.
+1 for ability to sort by completion date.
I agree. In our size there is absolutely no need for reports in general, but the ability to be able to sort tasks by completion date should be there. I can't see how this is not a "Day 1" feature as i guess most people want to check what tasks were done the last week etc.
I would like to see what tasks were completed yesterday, the day before, the day before that, and so on. By at least sorting the tasks by when they were marked complete, this would get me closer to what I'd like to see.
Hey Chris Hughes! Have you tried using Reports for this? You can create a report on Completed tasks and sort it by the completed dates.

I have tried reports without any luck. It would like nice to have a report with dates across the x-axis and number of tasks marked completed on that date going up the y-axis. How do I do this?
Thanks for getting back to me, Chris Hughes! I explained how this can be done with Wrike Reports here, could you please let me know if that can help?

What you show in your link is a table, not a report.
I want a count of completed tasks per day per user (this would also be nice on a calendar.
Chris Hughes this is actually a Wrike Report there. And here's how what you're looking for can be achieved:
1) Create a new custom report based on tasks
2) Choose the source data (projects/folders)
3) Choose "All finished" statuses to be able to see all completed tasks
4) For layout, choose "Table" and group by assignee
5) In the report, you'll be able to see the count of completed per user. The "Completed date" column can also be enabled.
Hope this helps!
