The dashboards are only designed to report on tasks but it would be helpful to create custom dashboards where you can show projects (not just the tasks within projects).

Though Wrike does a great job displaying Tasks in the Dashboard, Projects were not included.ย The same is true with the ability to visually order Tasks, easily drag/drop to re-order, but Projects lack that capability too.
Because of Wrikeโs limited reporting capabilities, Iโve created a workaround.ย It includes using custom fields, API, and SQL Server Reporting Servicesย to generate a series of Project status reports and dashboards; one example is shown below.ย In this example, Iโm also using a custom fld โInitiativeโ to identify Projects that have sub-projectsโportfolio style.ย This example of a Project status dashboard is grouped by Initiatives and provides the basic info need by management.

Though this is not a solution for most Wrike users, as it requires a lot of advanced programming, it may spark ideas for some and provide an example for Wrike program designers.

Theodore, Thanks for sharing. This is exactly what I need! For my needs, the only thing I would add is the "client name". Is it possible to share your code?
I totally agree with all of the above comments. It does indeed seem like a big miss for Projects omission from dashboard. Hopefully soon!

I have some good news guys - Project widgets are now available for Dashboards. You can also create a file widget from a Project so you can see all documents.

Any development on this over the past year? The Dashboard widget only shows title and status, rather than some of the more detailed analytics, drill-down and sorting capabilities that I'd be looking for. I see there are new project reports available in the Analytics beta, but I'm looking for more detailed information on how they are intended to be used.

Currently, dashboard widgets for projects show the title, assignee, due date, status and project progress. If you're interested in more advanced project reporting, I'd recommend checking out Wrike Analyze.
