conversation / @mention
Hi,
Can you please try to upgrade the 'reply button' when in a conversation.
If you have a conversation with 2 other persons and you hit reply, it looks like it only replies to the person who wrote the initial message and not the 3rd one. It's really hard to have discussion with several people then as you have to manually add everyone, for every message you send.
Thanks in advance,
Gwen
Hi Gwen, thanks for sharing this idea here, this is an interesting point! Our Product Team continues to work on enhancements to the updated comment stream, and it's great hearing your thoughts about how it can be improved. :)
Hi there,
It would also be useful to be able to @mention contacts privately.
Thanks,
Stuart
Hi Stuart, thanks for commenting! Do you want an option to have private threads in a specific task, or are you looking for a general private chat feature?
Hi Anastasia, thanks for the reply! I think a general chat feature to include private and public chats would be very useful. The way we use the system is such that we have so many tasks ongoing that if anyone comments on a specific task it is proving very difficult to find that comment at a later date, so if there was an option to have a general chat feature that covers the whole project, that would be very useful for us.
As a further point, another feature that would be extremely useful for us (and possibly other users) would be the ability to message people that are not users or collaborators by using their email addresses. I know it kind of flies in the face of what Wrike is principally about but sometimes we need to consult other parties and if Wrike could connect with our inboxes so that all we had to do was type in a recipient's email address and send that message and view replies within Wrike, that would be an awesome feature. It is a bit of a problem for us at the moment as we use Wrike to manage employee relocation services and as we have hundreds of supply partners globally it just won't work for us to invite them all as collaborators.
Thanks,
Stuart
I vote for a general private chat feature as well as sometimes I just need to ping someone about something that's not task specific.
The ability to jump into a private chat thread would be so valuable (yet still tied to the given task/project). There are times collaboration needs to happen on one level without it reaching (necessarily) the client yet. So, to be able to limit visibility on some comments to those it pertains to would be great. Is this possibly in the works?
Dear Anastasia, we are a team of 15 and using Baecamp3 and considering to switch to Wrike. We are in the trial version at the moment but chatting privately and public without task related is something we cannot give up. Is it already added in new extensions or are you planning to add it on?
We are trying slack at the moment but it is totaşy a different app.
Appreciate your advice.
Best
GM
Hi Gokhan, there's the option to be able to comment on Tasks, Folders, and Projects and communicate about work in that way. Were you looking for a chat system (like Slack) within Wrike?
I also would like to have a "Reply All" option in chat!!
The Reply All would populate the new chat box with everyone who was included on the message I'm replying to.
Didn't find much else here in the community on this, so adding a vote to this thread although it's old. Would love to see the ability to create stand-along conversations and threads, ideally associated with a Project.
Thanks!
Hey Al and Ian, I really like this idea too! As soon as there are any updates on this, I'll update this thread.
