Hi Phil, thank you for reaching out here! I wanted to thank you for sharing your feedback. Our goal is to facilitate team collaboration and help with visibility, which is why we sell in tiers of 5. For smaller teams, we offer our free package, designed for basic task management and organization. This helps smaller teams and individuals get a good handle on our solution before growing to the point where a package with more user seats and functionality will be justified. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Hello,

I would like to add as well a vote for a single user license.

I've just spent (again) comparing all the different PM tools available and there is nothing that can match Wrike.

I use Wrike at my full time job. So, I know all about :) Free plan doesn't have the minimum needed for me as a freelancer to be able to collaborate with my own customers... "Task & Subtask Management" and "X number of Collaborators".

I have pointed it everywhere else and will do here as well, from my point of view, free plan is poor for collaboration.

Please forward this message to whoever may be responsible to re-think pricing plan.

    Thank You!

    Regards.

    Hi,

I have also added my vote for a single user license. I am an architect running my own practice, with myself as the only employee, and therefore need an affordable, yet comprehensive, project management solution.

I disagree with Anastasia's comment about smaller teams requiring less powerful solutions. ย Small teams, even single people, need to manage complex workloads. ย I am currently trialing the Professional Plan, which appears to be fine for my needs but lacks a fundamental aspectย of the Timeline (Gantt) View, Holidays and Public Holidays. ย Holidays (custom calendars) are only available in the Business Plan. ย Without holidays in the Timeline View, I don't see how even a small team can collaborate to accurately manage a project. ย And, I feel that the Gantt functionality of the Professional Plan is not fit for purpose without holidays.

From my point of view the Free and Professional plans are inadequate for use in most business environments or in any size of team. ย The sub-heading of the Professional Plan is 'Full project planning and collaboration', which I find veryย missleadingย (due to the lack of holidays).

The single cost per user of the Business plan seems reasonable, but when I have to purchase five users when I only need a single license, then the product becomes extremely overpriced. ย I feel that Wrike is purely aiming its products at larger businesses and also forcing people to sign up for the Business Plan because the Free and Professional versions are not suitable for any size of business.

I would therefore highly recommend that Wrike brings out single user licenses to help small businesses, especially considering the vast number of micro businesses in the UK, let alone the US.

    Regards

Hi John-Paul, thank you for the comment. Yes, small teams do need to manage complex workloads and we try to tailor the plans to make them work for different types of teams.

I know it was just an example, but I wanted to suggest a workaround for showing holidays on the Timeline View. One option is to create a "Holidays" Folder, then, in that Folder, create a task for each holiday. You could then addย your Holidays Folder as a tag to any other Folder where you would like to see Holidays on the Timeline View. Again, I know that's just a workaround, but I hope it at least helps give some shared visibility intoย when holidays are.ย

Hi! My name is Marcin Kwiecinski and I am productivity consultant who advices Customers on modern productivity methods.

I notice a strong need for 1 or 2 user plan for Wrike. Many of my Customers would like to use more advanced tool than Todoist or Nozbe, but the price level and necessity to purchase 5 licenses of Wrike, makes them leave your great tool. Hope you will create plan for 1 or 2 users soon.

Yes! Please consider a plan for smaller/one person teams.ย  I was an avid Wrike fan in my previous position and seriously miss this great tool since moving to a small non-profit organization.ย  I would happily pay $20/month of one or two users.ย  Just can't justify $50 for a small office.ย  You could be missing a great gateway opportunity by staring at 5 users.ย  A single dedicated user in an office could easily convert co-workers over time and expand the user base.ย  However, the trial period is not sufficient to win colleagues over or provide confidence that it is worthย developing all of your projects inย a system will go away if you can't convince theย  rest of the team in time.

Please keep us in the loop as you consider the possibility for a single user account option.ย  I feel confident that my co-workers would adopt the system after seeing how well it works for me.

    Thank you,

I have been advocating this for thisย request for a while now.

It is nice wrike offers a free version ย but I agree with anything beyond the simple, and it falls flat. ย Especially the 2 sub-folder limit, and lack of subtasks makes the free version rather limiting. ย But the 5 licences with 4 non used accounts is not possible I would happily take up a single premium licence for my workflow but cannot justify non-active licences doing nothing. ย I have advocated Wrike for a long time and am a massive fan it is just a pity I cannot use it outside of work.

I do hope they amend this policy as turning away this potential bracket to other lesser applications that Wrike outperforms I cannot figure on the reasoning behind it.

Hi @Marcin thanks for the feedback and thoughts here.

@Brian and @Brian Thank you both for sharing your perspective and giving us details around why you're advocating for single-user plans. Whileย I don't have the update that either of you want, I did want to let you both know that we've read your comments (we read all the comments) and always bring up threads with our Product team.

I know it's not the exact option you want, but please let me know if you wanted to talk to an Account Executive, they're the ones who can help talk directly to about about pricing and plan options. They can't directly offer a single-user plan, but can work with you to try and find something that works better for you but is still within our general pricing/user plans.

I am really interested in your Wrike application and I would like to use it daily but for a single user in order to really work with the app a Professional account profile is strictly needed (with time line, subtasks and so on). 50โ‚ฌ per month only for me it's a bit too expensive. I strongly believe in the power of this product but I cannot afford such expensise. Please inform me when there will be available a suitable option for my needs.

    Hello,

I have been a free Wrike user since 2015. I am working as project manager and I am always eager for pro account. However, I always give up when I do not want to have to pay 4 extra users. I do not understand why there is no single user option Maybe I can not pay $ 50 a month, but I want to support both Wrike and use options like the Gantt chart. I think that it is not suitable for today's internet environment where sharing is growing by increasing the share of users who want to use pro account by paying 10 dollars per month.

In this regard, we expect a quick solution from you.

    Best regards.

    (Edited )

Wrike is way ahead of its peers in terms of capabilities and architecture. So it surprises me that Wrike is actively resistant to opening the licensing to per user. Even Microsoft saw the light to such an antiquated licensing model and they've exploded as a result. I understand there could be a concern about existing licensees reducing Wrike's base, but from the interest expressed in this post, it seems abundantly clear that any revenue losses would quickly reverse. Besides, a mixed model would work. Slightly higher price per user, with breaks for tier licensing. It's not that difficult to give your customers what they're reasonably asking for.

Aaaaactually, I was on with sales the other day and it's closer to $1200/yr if you want Gantt and Workload views - the two most useful views. ย Sneaky, sneaky. ย Smartsheet is my selection after months of searching. ย 3 user limit for Business class, but much less expensive and way more flexible. ย Albeit a little longer to learn.

Another vote from me! I was all ready to sign up and by the pricing table on the website I thought it meant that I could sign up as a single user (when it showed per member pricing). So disapointed that I couldn't.. I'm a soloprenuer just geting started and would have been happy to pay for 1-2 users... just not 5 :-(

I vote for single licence and agree with most posts. A $50 per month is more expensive than MS office 365 and Google business suite combined , several times over. Please reexamine the market segments and you'll soon realise you stand to gain not loose if you change.

Our team is fantastic and while they can't sell single user licenses, they do understand that differentย teams haveย different situations, and they can work within certain frameworks to try and help.ย

Yes, your team fantastic about rejecting usย and they are not giving any solution about this subject. We all made our point clear. Unfortunately, your comment is nothing but trying to close this case.I just want to be paid user and why Wrike Executive or Account Management insist about not taking our money? Ok people. I got and an another interesting answer from Wrike Team in chat conversation. I missed to share it, I want to share with you all now.

"Natalia P.: If we have enough customers/potential customers requesting a single-user subscription, then it may be taken into consideration by our Product team. At the moment, the numbers may be too low..."

I don't aggree for waiting enough requests. Because, everyone may not write it when they need it.

    @Wrike team,

There is no doubt for me, I've tested Wrike as many other management solutions, Wrike is far the best and I'll stick with it.

However, one thing I found weird about Wrike is, obviously as perhaps the best management solution, it saves time and money and I think having received that message from Wrike, it saves time and money. Now, the weird thing is, If Wrike or any other solution offer to save money, how can anyone ask you to pay 5 users at least when you need only one and it is constantly repeated here, that's not saving and there is no calculation that can justify that :)

Btw. So far, I've introduced Wrike to a couple ofย my customers, they never heard about it, they actually never used any management tool. One customer was just amazed how it works and what it can do...

@Bulent Gercekย and other, let's try to share this thread throughout our social networks to involve more people. I did it...

    Regards,

@all, ย This is a powder keg, for sure. ย Some statistics I base much of my business on can be found (with references) atย https://www.virtualhold.com/blog/customer-service-stats-that-matter-part-ii/. ย Here are the highlights:

    • For Every One Customer Complaint, There are 26 More Unhappy But Silent Customers

    • 96% of Unhappy Customers Donโ€™t Complain, but 91% of Those Will Simply Leave

    • 13% of Unsatisfied Customers Tell More than 20 People

    • 70% of Buying Experiences Based on How a Customer Feels They Are Treated

I can tell you right now, @TeamWrike, I fit into every one of these bullet points.

I'm sure if Wrike was to offer it as a service there would be a decent uptake when it became known(If you build it they will come montage). ย

It would not fair to expect just this thread as the extent of the interest the vast majority of the people would not bother bringing it up rather just move to a service that does offer single licence options like smartsheetย or todoist and be done with it. ย I also suspect a good chunk of people that use Wrike at work would use it in their personal capacity if a decent option was available for single users as would have been my case. ย

I recall that there was mention of single licence style option many years ago from an old article so I don't know if Wrike got burnt in the past or if it may have anything to do with the increased strain of support and processing. ย I would be ok with no support as a single user if that is the case and if the model did not work before, times do change.ย

It would be great to start using Wrike again, I really do love the folders as tagsย system you created but the free 2 folder limit kills me every time.

    Still keeping my fingers crossed.

Wrike has obviously made the business decision not to offer single user licences, and I'm sure it has been debated extensively around large board room tables in a fancy office somewhere with the executives who hold the purse strings. ย There is undoubtedlyย an underlying financial motive for this route, and I don't like how it is not made very clear that no single user licences are available prior to trialing the software. ย I have given up waiting and I am trialing PriorityMatrix, which appears to have a lot of the functionality of Wrike and more importantly, functions offline! ย I hate how a lot of software these days is browser-based requiring a constant internet connection.

For all those people on here wanting a Wrike alternative, I'd recommend giving PriorityMatrix a go. ย I'm just a frustrated business owner who has spent many months, probably years, trying to find a suitable task manager that meets the needs of a single business user.
