Dashboards: add a possibility to edit widget
Currently when I create a widget for my dashboard based on some filter criteria, I'm not able to edit it afterwards (missing some minor checkbox means setting it all up from scratch).

Hi Luděk, thanks for suggesting this here! This is a great idea and I'm sure there are others who are interested in it too, I'll definitely direct users who support this idea to your post :)
Great suggestion. We use custom widget a lot in my team and beeing able to fine tune them on the fly would be awesome.
Would be great to change view also. So you can create a dashboard with board view for example.
Thanks for the comments here! @Daniel, interested in the types of data you'd like to combine on the Dashboard which includes a Board View. Is there something you feel is missing from the Board View that can be found in he Dashboard, or vice versa? Looking forward to learning more!
We have a project area with about 10 different projects within. We have a "master" dashboard where all projects are displayed. Board view is perfect in that sence that is easy to display and to understand where a task is in time, and to have a dasboard displaying all ongoing project or multiple would be great and easy for entire company to see.
Thank you for the additional info, Daniel! If you have a chance, I'd love to hear your (and others) feedback about the Board View too in this designated post: Board View. :)
This will be VERY Helpful...
I agree, this would be very helpful. In addition, I feel more filters would go a long way as well. I am trying to set up widgets in my dashboard which show tasks due 10 days from today, and another widget to show tasks due between 10 days and 30 days from today, and perhaps another to show tasks with no due date. Right now there are no such filters.
Thanks for the comments, Dwight and Aaron! @Aaron, that's a great suggestion, and there's an existing post covering various filtering options in case you'd like to add your vote there to support it too: Add Future Time Frames in Dashboard Filters.
Hi everyone, I'm very happy to let you know that it's now possible to edit Dashboard widgets! To do this, hover over a widget's name (in the Dashboard View), then click the pencil icon. If you don't see the pencil icon at first, try refreshing your page once or twice, it'll appear.
You'll get a pop-up window with editing options where you can make your changes. I'm personally very excited for this change and hope that it helps you all as well! This is what the editing window looks like, if you're curious:
I think this is an awesome addition; the ability to edit widgets is extremely useful. I am glad to see that effort has been put into making the dashboard more customizable.
However, in my application it still does not address my problem. I am looking for widgets that show upcoming tasks, NEXT month, or 3 months into the future. Currently there are only filters for this month/week or last month/week. I like to see tasks that are upcoming but not in my current week/month widget.
Aaron, glad to hear you like this enhancement! :) I noticed that you've added your comment to the other request I sent before, thank you for contributing there. We'll make sure to update the thread whenever we have any news to share!
I see you can edit widgets that are created from a dashboard but when you create a widget via list view from a search, there isn't an option to edit the widget. Having the option in this instance would be a great option. It would eliminate the need of always creating a new widget. The edit option would save time as well.
