[Status: Not planned] Markdown formatting in Description field
It would be incredibly helpful if we could use Markdown in description fields.
e.g. instead of having to use the mouse to choose the header level, simply type ## at the beginning of the line for a level 2 header etc.
Dropbox Paper is a good example of this working well. Markdown is enough of a standard for this to be worthwhile.
I really like using Wrike as a note taking tool (for meetings etc) but the mouse-based formatting makes it rather slow.
Thanks.
Thank you Franz, you'll be missed!
It is crazy not to for those lookign for GitHub integeration. We are looking at Wrike vs other project management softwares. Not having markdown means we may well not adopt Wrike despite its other positive features.
Just chiming in to say that as a software engineer, markdown support would be *very* useful.
It's wild to see that there are posts from 2017 to present asking for Wrike to implement markdown abilities and the continuous answer is "this is not on our product roadmap". Literally 8 YEARS of people asking for a feature that nearly every other rich text editor provides, and somehow that's not enough to make you adjust your roadmap even a little.
Hello Frankie,
My latest comments here have not been published, as I think the staff consider them a bit hurty.
You are right to be astonished that they don't understand why users would want markdown (we're pretty sure their own devs don't use Wrike, or this would have been added years ago).
But it is beyond belief that they won't give us even the monospaced font option in ticket comments.
They won't turn on a feature already present in the javascript libraries they are using.
The staff here are impotent to affect change
Shocked this still isn't planned! This would be huge!!
Any new updates to this feature? Would be very helpful and improve UX much!
