1) How do you see this potential feature could work in Wrike? 

2) After converting a Task into a Project, what is the most important data that should be transferred? 

Please assign the importance levels:

1 - Highly Important    
2 - Quite Important    
3 - Important    
4 - Less important    
5 - Not important    
6 - Redundant

To the following items: Custom fields values, Subitems, Approvals, Files, Comments, Task history.

4) Is there anything else you'd like to mention about converting Tasks into Projects?

Lisa - yes i see the switch account option, but it will only allow a google account to be used.

Forgot to put it into the form, but could this also be a mass action? It would be a big help after importing a lot of tasks.

Yes! I have desired this functionality several times. Both ways. Turning a task (generated from my email integration) into a project and also turning a project into a task - sometimes people within our team set up projects when it doesnt make sense. In those moments, I would like to change the project into a task with subtasks.

This has been posted since 2017. Its 2024!!! How is such a simple and desired feature not available by now? I guess we'll just continue to wait for this product to make the bureaucracy ladder and make its way to a production level feature. Sorry I am not trying to be Debbie Downer but, this really seems like it was not thought out or fell through the cracks. I have spent too long trying to figure out how to change a task to a feature and I just could not accept the fact that there is not a way to do this. I was wrong.

I understand your sentiment, and I'm happy to let you know in case you missed this message above - our team is currently researching this idea with plans to open a beta so that anyone who's interested in this functionality to test it. Our team can't commit to working on all or even most of the ideas posted, but it's great to see that this particular suggestion is being worked on 🙂
