Show Project status color in more areas and more prominently

The project status color code (green, yelllow, red, completed) is only show in a few places, and very sparingly.  I would like to see it more prominent in table views, and maybe put it on the folder list like the color-coding stripe is.  Would make it easier to see at a glance, and the ability to customize would be nice too (eg. currently too similar a green is used for both "on track" and "completed").

Hi Rob and Paul! Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this, this is definitely an interesting idea. @Rob, just to clarify: it sounds like you want to see the Project status represented in Table View in the same way as in Reports, is that correct?

Thanks for the reply.  And correct... the table view, in the dark gray folder/project list on the very left-hand side of the layout (where the color-coded stripe is), etc.

Related to this, displaying the owner, start date, and end date would be excellent in the table view.

Hi Thomas, thanks for commenting here! Although the owner field isn't visible in Table View, I wanted to mention that it's possible to view Project start and end dates by enabling these columns, here's how:

Let me know if you have any questions!

...another vote here for adding 'project status' as a column option in table view.  Reports can display project status very nicely, but you can't 'edit status on the fly' in a report, because no details pop-up option is there.  In table view, you can hover on a project and get access to the details button to pop-up (without navigating away from the view you are looking at - or opening a new tab) change the status of a project.  So currently, reports shows project status more clearly (filerable and sortable), but table view allows you better on-the-go edits of the project status...but you can't see/filter/sort on that status - you are forced to click on each one...one at a time.

Hi Alex, thanks for commenting here! This is a really interesting explanation, and really illustrates how it would make editing attributes on the go much easier. Do you think it would also be helpful to have a details pop-up in Reports?

Yes, Anastasia - that would be a big help.  Reports are great...but sometimes we review as a team on a virtual call and would like to be able to 'take action' right there in the report.

Custom Status would be huge! Like the workflows but for a project

Hello,

Our team wanted to know if it is possible to add an icon next to the project status field (Green, Yellow, Red, Completed, On Hold, Cancelled) in the List view. Ideally, this would be like a traffic light next to the status, to draw the user's attention to the color status. See attached screenshot example. We know that there is a color bar that shows along the top of the project, but that's a pretty subtle visual.

Thank you!
