I need to create a report that has our 5-10 milestones that are the same across all projects across the top, a list of all active projects along the side, and then the dates for each milestone in the table.

Hi Conor, thanks for reaching out! Just want to make sure I understand. It sounds like you're looking for a report that shows when key milestones are scheduled for, and you want to see the milestones from all of your projects vs from a particular project. Let me know if I'm getting that right!

We have projects with the 3 set milestones: "1st Draft to Client", "Edits Round 1", "2nd Draft to Client". It would be great to be able to see all projects on a table where the columns across would be: Project Name, Assignee, Start Date, 1st Draft to Client, Edits Round 1, 2nd Draft to Client, Due Date -- listing all our active clients.
Not sure how you could do this... but it would be amazing!

To get the view you are describing in your comment, you could try using custom fields!
With these, you'll be able to customize the columns that you see in Table View and change statuses to reflect the status of your tasks, including your milestone ones.

Thank you for the suggestion! The issue there is added paperwork for the user. Custom fields just aren't flexible enough to be super helpful... With your suggested solution the user would have to set dates for the milestones and fill in the custom fields (duplicated work never feels great.) Add the fact that our due dates get shifted around quite often because of the client -- meaning the dates would need to be updated in both locations - just asking for the ball to be dropped on one and people to be confused on which date is correct.
