[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Assign User Groups
I was very disappointed to see that you cannot assign a User Group to a task. I understand Wrike's idea that each task should have a single assignee (What we used to call an ONTG - one neck to grab) but it is also very common to have multiple people assigned to a task with one person responsible. We wanted to use User Groups this way so we did not have to go through the hassle of adding each individual you wanted to assign one at a time, which by the way Wrike allows and is exactly the same as allowing a User Group to be assigned, just much more time consuming. So if you can do it one by one it only makes sense to support doing it as a group
So I would like a feature enhancement to allow User Groups to be assigned to a task.
Michelle have you tried using Job Roles to achieve this? These are only available in Pinnacle though, which might be an issue depending on your license.

Phil Taylor I haven't tried using Job Roles as a workaround -- that's a good idea. One potential drawback I can see, though, is that you can only assign one Job Role to a User; whereas one User could be assigned to many different User Groups. So if I had several different User Groups, each comprised of a different combination of people, they could be assigned to various tasks and projects depending on which Groups they were part of.
Hi all - a solution I use to achieve this is to have an intake folder for each "team" where each new request sits in or is cross-tagged into, usually initially unassigned. The team leader can then slice and dice and assign work any which way and keep track of all team requests and who is doing them. I hope this helps some people out there!
