New Field Type "Rich text" or "HTML" for custom fields

We would like to add custom fields that contain formatted text.

Lisa, the product suggestion you linked is related but is really just one aspect of having rich text formatting in a text based custom field.

I second the support for getting rich text formatting added to custom fields.

I end up creating multiple custom text based fields to capture project notes, risks, issues, status, etc. and it would be very powerful to have the ability to format that text in bullets, bold, underline, italics, different fonts, sizes, etc.

We have this rich text formatting now in the description and comments fields - we need this move as an option in text 'custom' fields.  Maybe give us the option of doing a "Plain Text" text field and a "Rich Text" text field.

The most widespread use case is people build table-based reports and need to show what's the latest status on each task. They end up creating a custom field called 'Latest status' and it might include several sentences that are hard to read when there are no bullet points available.

Our team spent considerable time & energy porting our project portfolio to WRIKE but have been unable to use it to generate usable project status reporting to due to the lack of this feature.  

  • Bullet points are essential for Exec Status
  • They enable clear line breaks between callouts
  • Otherwise you end up with a bunch of run on gibberish.... 

Pls enable this must have feature with priority, it is an essential feature in order to utilize WRIKE as a project status tool
