Restoring Projects from the Recycling Bin - with optional Recreation of Dependencies

Hello everyone,

In my company, we have complex standard-projects that contain ~150 subprojects and tasks with loads of dependencies between them.

When such a project is deleted, and afterwards restored from the recycling bin, Wrike currently does not recreate the dependencies.

For us this is breaking the feature of restoring projects from the recycling bin, as a user cannot be expected to re-enter dependencies between 150 subprojects and tasks.

For single items, I can understand that restoring dependencies might cause trouble in an existing project. But for a complete standalone project, this behavior does not make sense.

So please add an option for the user to select whether dependencies should be restored or not, maybe including a warning that restoring dependencies might cause trouble.

Thank you very much for your consideration, kind regards,

Wiebke Willems

Thank you for posting your feedback Wiebke Willems! Does it happen often when someone deletes a project? With Wrike's access roles, you can perhaps assign an "editor" access role to your team members in which case it won't be possible for them to delete a project. Please let me know how that sounds!

Hi Lisa,

We are just starting to use Wrike, so I do not have any statistics yet. But to disable deleting projects for normal users altogether does not seem to be a good workaround for me. We have a lot of sub-projects in our projects, so deleting those would be prohibited as well, and the admins would be required to do all the cleanup work.

This behavior is so counter-intutive and disappointing that I would be really glad if you could add some funtionality here, especially when restoring a complete project. When I upload a project from Excel, I get dependencies, if I restore it from the bin, they are lost....
