Align start dates of sub-projects, tasks, and sub-tasks with project

It is not manageable to create separate forms for ALL work type requests in order to assign 1 shell project to a form so that sub-project, task, and sub-task start dates reschedule. There should be functionality to reschedule start dates of all project pieces with the project itself. Likewise for end dates.

Hi Sean Garcia, welcome to the Community! 🙂

Thanks for your feedback here, it will be passed on to the Product Team. I also wanted to mention that part of what you're describing already exists - you can reschedule tasks inside projects:

Please let me know if this helps and thanks again for your feedback!

Hi Lisa,

This ONLY works if you are duplicating at the FORM level. Our department serves many different functional categories including Website, Social Media, Email, Creative Design, Paid Digital Advertising, etc…and many different work types within those categories. It is obviously untenable to create forms for every possible work type request and Duplicating a pre-built project/task at the overall form level is the only way to reschedule timelines based on form inputs. Since we cannot ask our stakeholders to go through a list of 30+ forms, we must assign Blueprint Sub-Projects, Tasks, and Sub-Tasks at the QUESTION level within the form. We get dozens of work requests per week and manually adjusting all dates within each request leaves the user feeling no benefit of automation. I don't believe that anyone prefers that stock dates from Blueprints be used inside of a new project with specific start and end dates. If the functionality could be adjusted to align start and end dates to the HIGHEST level rather than the inverse option that is currently available in Wrike Lab I think it would be universally beneficial.

Thank you for sharing more details about your suggestion here.

Would conditional request form questions help you with this? This allows you to choose which folder / project a submission should go to based on what answers the users give. This way, you could assign submissions to different categories, without having to duplicate forms for each possible category.

Let me know if this helps. If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out at any time.

Sean Garcia I have the same situation.  I have a request form that has many sub project options that if selected pull the correct blueprint into the project.  So you can create a project and select fact sheet, web page, video, ppt, etc.  The form used to align the sub projects to the end date that the submitter selected.  Its not ideal but I only had to manipulate dates a bit.  NOW no dates are realigning. So my request comes in with all of the original blue print dates no matter what the end date is.

I CANNOT have my clients submit a form for every deliverable.  And what is frustrating is that dates used to align for me.  I don't know what happened and I can reproduce it to show Wrike.

If anybody has a form that allows for sub projects to be added and those sub projects align to the project end date PLEASE let me know.

thank you

Stacey
