Folder/Project Filter Options: search terms and sorting by recent use

Our org run over a dozen events per year, and we stay on top of the planning and execution via folders and projects open to all. Within each event's folder, we have sub-folders for each department's event-related tasks and subprojects. Those sub-folders are sometimes created as projects rather than folders because the team leads sometimes run reports on the former, which is not possible to do on the latter. Those projects and sub-folders are usually called "eventYY - Team."

Our Production team likes to cut through the visual noise in the left-hand navigation menu by viewing only their subfolders and projects. We used to be able to type "production" in the filter field, and we would see all recently used folders and projects that had Production in their title.

However, currently, typing "production" into the filter field prompts Wrike to pull up sub-folders and sub-projects from our little-used archived event folders OR a mix of a few current sub-folders/-projects among results mostly consisting of those archived sub-folders/-projects.

I tried to troubleshoot. It did seem that the filter functionality was prioritizing folders/projects with "Production" as its first word in the title, which were all inactive folders and projects, and it also seemed that it was prioritizing folders rather than projects.

For now, I can certainly use search commands in the upper-right hand global search field, but the folders/projects filter field should really be more robust. Why are there no filter options for folders and projects the way there are for tasks? At the very least, I think wildcard searches should be possible. On the back end, it baffles me that folders and projects that haven't been touched in over three years would appear rather than folders and projects that are actively in use.

Please do look into the filter functionality for projects and folders! Thanks much. :)

We have the exact same use case, we used to cut down on the noise and just filter by project managers really quickly in the hamburger menu!

Thank you for your feedback Andre Herrero! 😊 I wonder if the recent update to the New Wrike Experience that now allows you to have your pinned items in the hamburger menu helps in your case?

Hey Lisa, it doesn't really help in this use case. We need a quick filter for companies with a lot of folders and projects. The old Wrike experience had this, it was very helpful.

One thing to also note, the filters also do not filter out projects or folders, only tasks, projects and folders are always their and visible, it would be nice to filter those out there as well.
