Custom Field Formula support for calculations from weighted drop down lists

I'm trying to duplicate something I had previously been managing in Excel. Basically, I have 5 different fields, that all have an option with an associated weighting: Example, development time (field name), options: low - 5, medium - 3, high - 1. So with these 5 fields similar to the one mentioned above, I want to do a multiplication of all of them together to determine a new value, that will be the Priority Weighting (custom Formula with conditional color options).

I would like to request the following features to be added to support the above:

- Allow adding a number weighting to drop down list items (option + number weighting). Additionally, allow a definition for each drop down item. (i.e., item name: low, item weighting: 5, definition: 0-6 months).
- Allow the custom Formula field to do multiplication on these drop down list weightings (currently you cannot create ANY formula based on a drop down list, even if you enter numbers into it - it will only allow you to use a number field).

I am getting by right now by having 5 separate number fields in Wrike (but having to still use Excel for the drop down with weighting option as a reference, to manually enter the resulting number to Wrike), and using a custom Formula in Wrike to multiply the manually input numbers and highlight with conditional color.

The reason I would like this capability is the Priority Weighting is evaluated for each project. To be able to seamlessly evaluate this in Wrike would be ideal.

Hi Stephanie Smith and @...!

I have a project prioritization matrix that I've recently integrated Wrike (although still rather clunky, but mostly because I'm still hoping for more powerful custom field management tools and sorting/sections options on card view).

For my «criteria» fields, instead of being 1-5, I use a percentage field (0-100). Then I have a calculated field that sums all those criteria fields with a weighted multiplier, and I get a resulted weighted score in this calculated field.

I'd love to see a weighted calculator option, because some criteria assessments are much better graded 1-5 instead of 0-100, but my work around seems to be OK for now!

I think this type of feature is one that goes along with several other discussions around improving project portfolio management within Wrike- Agile boards for projects, more project filtering and widget options for dashboards, availability of calculated custom fields in dashboard widget and report filters.

Thanks for the continued work team!

I would love to see this feature as well.  Without custom field validations (in project view), we are getting alpha values in numerical custom fields and it's breaking our report.

We are working through project prioritization automation using values for Impact, Urgency, and Complexity. This feature would be most helpful for our team.
