Customizable Status Groups

Would love to be able to customize our own status groups in the workflows feature. We know we can change the number and names of the statuses within the groups, but we want to be able to truly customize a whole workflow including the status groups.

It is indeed frustrating to see that items are still classes as Active when they are closed, it makes reporting quite difficult. I would appreciate it if  the "Status Group" feature is not applied by default.

Adding a vote. My executive team thinks "Deferred" has a negative connotation, akin to rejected. We want "Pending" instead.

Yes, I want to group a bunch of statuses that are essentially "Blocked" together — Active has 99% of our status types in it, which makes it almost useless.

Being able to customize the status group would be great! This would be especially helpful for client-facing dashboards where we want them to be able to see the overall status of a task (accomplished by custom status groups), but not see the more granular details of where a job is specifically (the status). For example, the internal status might be, "waiting on PO# from accounting" or "send PO to vendor" but the client would just see the status group of "prepping for production".

Our teams also really need customized status groups. AND we need the customized status group to have the option of allowing us to set that customized status group to not lock down dates (like the Active status group, unlike the Completed or Deferred status groups).

We have hijacked the Deferred status group for some of our critical statuses to be able to easily filter for them as an addressable group without filtering for statuses from the Active status group that we do not want. However, the Deferred status group locks down dates (unlike the Active status group). This breaks the critical, dynamic date roll-ups in our projects when we use these Deferred statuses on future scheduled tasks which are all dependency-linked in our projects.

The result is any change to durations on active or scheduled tasks upstream, especially shortening of durations, do not dynamically recalculate down past the first future scheduled tasks that is using a Deferred status group status because that date is locked down. This causes scheduled future tasks, that are all dependency-linked, beyond that point to not get dynamically updated. Those future task due dates become unreliable and our project-level due date itself, which rolls up from the task dates with auto-calculation turned on, is also inaccurate. The reliability of these dates is one of the most critical needs we count on Wrike for. Fixing this issue is of utmost importance to us.
