Dragging and dropping projects across widgets
When creating a dashboard, you can drag tasks from one widget to another. However, you cannot currently do this on a project widget. I'm sure this would be useful for many people, but here is my example:
The various statuses within a project "Status" cannot be changed. Therefore, I created a custom field with my own statuses. I would like to create a dashboard where I could drag a project from one status to the next.
I am trying to use it exactly as mentioned for ordering and prioritizing my project portfolio, either with my own custom field Status or the Default Workflow Status.
I hope this thread get promoted.
I was just in a forum for having the board view be able to filter by projects and not just tasks. This would solve this very easily. However if that feature can not be added, I agree we need to be able to drag and drop projects in dashboards.
WRIKE PEOPLE PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE!!! PEOPLE VIEW PROJECTS AS WELL, NOT JUST TASKS!
Hey guys, thank you for your feedback here! It's been passed on to the Product team. As soon as I have an update for you, I'll let you know 😊
This would a be a great feature to have. Either this or the request for a Board (Kanban) Projects View across a Space by Status just like tasks within a project. (Link to the Board-View-For-Projects request)
Reason for the board view across all projects so that the team is aware of all the projects currently underway and if there are some status change across the projects, you wouldn’t have to go in to each project and change the status.
I have created a dashboard view for all Projects but would still need to go in to projects to update the statuses within each of the projects. If not that - if there is a way to mass edit all projects to a certain status - I would be happy to know about that. Currently I am not sure if there is a way to do that (similar to all tasks within a project mass edit option)
This would help when prioritizing all the projects within a Space and if there are related changes to each of the projects..
Thank you for sharing your use case here, Manisha Saini! No changes here at the moment - if there are any changes, I'll be sure to let you know.
