Overdue tasks that need adding to Daily To Do List
Here is a problem I see with the Daily To Do List:
It would be beneficial for tracking purposes that if you do not complete your daily task on your Daily to Do List that it will show up on the next day's Daily To Do List and continue to be on your list until you complete it. It seems odd that if a task gets missed or you cannot complete it or are out sick that day that it would not be added to the next Daily To Do List. Tasks can get missed that way. I was told by Customer Service that this was not available.....If anyone knows of a way that this can be accomplished please let me know! Thanks!
You could use Dashboards and Widgets as a work around. I was in the same boat as you and found it frustrating that the Daily to do list did not have tasks that were technically overdue.
Create a new dashboard and call it To Do, I call mine Ryan's Dashboard.
Once created you will need to create 3 widgets, to get the information that you want.
The First is called "Tasks Assigned to Me", this will give you a list of all active tasks that have been assigned to you in all folders and projects regardless of due dates. It then sorts them based on Overdue, Due today, This week, and Later. Pretty handy.
The second is called "To Do Today/This Week". This widget will give you a list of active tasks that due dates for the current day as well as the current week that you are in. For example today you will see the tasks that are due on July 18th as well as July 19th and 20th.
The third widget is called "My Overdue Tasks". Just like it says, the list will be for active tasks that have due dates before today.
I like this dashboard because it is like the Daily To Do List, but also gives you the ability to look back on what still needs to be completed and also to look ahead and plan out your time. I operate 90% of the time from this dashboard because I can clean up what I did not get down yesterday, see my important tasks for today and plan for next week.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Ryan. I do not like the dashboard idea only because I leave myself notes and reminders in the blocks on the DTD List. I really was hoping for this in a neat report format like the DTD List, but oh well, I can wish. I'll just have to keep doing it as I have been and that is looking at all my projects every morning to see where I am in the process. Thanks for your help though, I really appreciate it.
Hi Michelle, you may be interested in taking a look at our Product Feedback section for a similar idea to accomplish this or to post your own suggestion there so others interested in this can vote for it 👍
