Format Multi-Select Answer Options in columns
I've searched around and haven't found this asked yet, but please point me to the place to upvote if it exists...
When using the multi-select question/custom field combination, the answer options is put in a single column format with checkboxes. If the list is has a bunch of options then it's a long scroll to choose answers, with some not even able to stay on the screen at the same time due to the length. This is not a great user experience...and if the answers added to the description field, that gets a bit awkward, too.
I'd like to be able to choose a max per column and add columns to the answers. So if you have 20 options you would tell it a max of 5 answers and it would be 4 columns. I realize this probably isn't an easy fix, but it's a bit disruptive at 2 different points in the process (request and description).
Before you ask, I actually don't map the field answer to the description, so that second pain point isn't happening in this case. But I can see times when I might want answers added to the description.
Anyone else feel this?
Hi Steve Mruskovic,
if you want to achieve a cleaner user experience, would it be an option to split the content of your custom fields to several fields? In this case you would be able to reduce the max number of options manually and logically, not just automatically without any logical order. I know other issues could occour by using more than one custom filed, so it's just a suggestion for a workaround in some specific cases.

Hi Florian Kislich ,
Due to some reporting needs, I need this data in the same field, so it won't work in this case, but that is a good workaround for some cases. Thanks for having a think on it.
