How the 2024 Updated Dashboards Transformed My Marketing Team's Workflow

Since the 2024 updates, Wrike’s new Dashboards feature has completely streamlined how our marketing team collaborates. Instead of chaotic email threads, constant Teams notifications, and jumping between different Smartsheets our teams now have organized, department-specific dashboards that keep everyone on track. Here’s how I’ve used these updates to improve our workflow:

Department-Specific Dashboards

  1. Design Team Dashboard
I created a Design Dashboard to:

    • Display all active tasks and sort by deadlines, priorities, and project labels.
    • Include a 'Not Yet Assigned' section so new tasks can be quickly picked up.
    • Provide a visual of task status, so everyone knows what’s been completed and what’s still pending.

This has helped the design team stay focused and allowed for easy assignment of new tasks.

  2. Content Team Dashboard
    The Content Dashboard:

    • Organizes tasks by "To Do," "In Progress," and "Completed."
    • Sorts by assigned writer and deadlines.
    • Includes widgets for files in review and waiting to be assigned.

This setup keeps the content team aligned and helps us quickly identify bottlenecks.

  3. Digital Marketing Dashboard
    The Digital Marketing Dashboard:

    • Displays active campaigns and their milestones.
    • Uses Charts and Analytics widgets to track performance.
    • Shows upcoming deadlines and tasks needing assignment.

This dashboard ensures our digital marketing team stays on top of multiple campaigns without missing a beat.

Enhanced Collaboration

The dashboards aren’t just for individual teams—they also connect teams. Our marketing leaders use a Combined Dashboard and a Customizable dashboard to get an overview of progress across design, content, and digital marketing. This way, everyone stays aligned without having to check multiple views.

Conclusion

The 2024 Dashboards have significantly improved the way we manage our marketing projects. Whether it’s streamlining design, content, or digital marketing tasks, these updates help us stay organized, reduce confusion, and work together more efficiently.

If you’re using Dashboards in a similar way or even differently, I’d love to hear how you’ve set them up! Let’s keep the conversation going and share tips!

Thank you, Kelly St.Cyr, for sharing how the new Dashboards have helped your team collaborate better and keep everyone on track. I personally use Dashboards to monitor my daily, weekly, and monthly goals, as well as to track the tasks I'm following on Wrike. It's super helpful in providing a quick numerical overview of what's already been accomplished. Thanks again for sharing—it's certainly helpful for others! 😊

Florian Kislich: Definitely! 💯
