Request form

Is it possible to have a fields or is there any chance to select the project where the item created trough the form belongs?

For example:

I have created a request form about purchasing

This request form it can be used from every user to ask for purchase in order to manage their project.

If a user needs a purchase in order to complete their projec, thei can fill up the request form. It will automacitally create a personalized item and the purchase office gets notifed and the will proceed withe the purchasing.

But i have noticed that is not possible to select in the request form where this purchase belong.

Please help.

Hi Davide! You could do that in a few different ways, but I think the simplest way would be via form automations:

  1. Start with a question in your form. Build a question that's answers correspond to each of your types of purchase orders.
  2. Then, create form automations to "add parent folder" to each of your answers. The parent folder would be where the new task is located.
  3. See example below.

The short answer is not inherently. The only suggestion I've seen is to create a custom field and manually add all of the project names to it, which can be a lot of work to maintain depending on project completion turnover and the total number of projects you have.

This functionality would be amazing though!

Hello,

Be able to select the project or the folder, directly from the request form, would be amazing and save a lots of time.

My team is a little complaining about this.

Hi!
I'm planning to do something similar by the end of December.
I'll use Wrike Integrate to map all Customers with specific Custom Field (selectable) in forms, avoiding maintenance each time a new customer come in Wrike.
I think also that Datahub can manage something similar.

It would be fantastic if you can select, for example with a drop down menu the project where the item of the form belongs.

Hi Davide Rosati! 🙋🏻‍♀️

As others have suggested, the conditional logic to direct tasks to specific folders based on user responses can be an option. However, this requires pre-defining the options and their corresponding folder mappings.

I also found this post in the product feedback forum, and it seems to be similar to what you've mentioned. You can upvote the post and share your feedback as well. 👍🏽
