Dynamically Change Name For Task Based on Other Fields
It would be nice to have the ability to change the name of a task dynamically based on the data in other fields. I am primarily trying to solve the issue noted in the below link from my how to post.
Proposed New Function:
Allow prefixes or suffixes to be added to task name based on entries in other fields. For example add "[Project Number] - [Assignee] -" to the front of a task name so when viewed from a different view with multiple projects, it is clear what project and person that task is tied to. [Project Number] and [Assignee] would be other fields in the task table.
Alternatively, allow a task in the calendar view to show multiple fields like name (currently the only field that is show without clicking on the task), project number, assignee, etc.

Rohan V and has this wonderful request been implemented into Wrike? Do we have dynamic task naming available yet? We have a strong need for this currently in our growing operation. Also, is there a way to make a global name change to a specific existing task? For example, if we have a couple hundred projects within a folder that all have the same task structure, and we want to rename '6 - staging & crating' task to be called '6 - QC, staging & crating' is there a way to apply this globally to all tasks with that specific name, or do we have to manually change it project by project?
Hey Nathan Hall! 👋 thank you for reaching out. So far, there haven’t been any updates to share. As a workaround, you might find it helpful to use the drag option in the Table View to change multiple task names. I understand this isn’t an ideal solution, but hopefully it speeds up the process a bit.
