Need an automated message when attached document is updated

We are a large organization with many projects, and I need a way to know when certain documents have been signed off. So things like requirements, charters... need a formal signature and are attached to the associated tasks, but other than subscribing to every task with a signed deliverable for every PM, is there a way to set up a notification that something specific has been signed or at least updated within Wrike?

Brian Hamilton - There are a lot of unknowns in your request. It depends on who you are trying to notify and what their role is in the project. I know automations are going to be the answer but how you get there might take some work. Likely the best answer will be to trigger an automation for when a task status is changed (to approved). Then it's a matter of setting up the workspace to apply the conditions to only notify certain people for certain tasks. That will probably be a combination of custom fields and custom item types.

Here are some articles that might help: Automations, Custom Fields, Custom Item Types

Example: We have 30+ active projects at different stages. Each project needs a Project Charter, which may go through several iterations before it is done. Once complete, the Project Charter needs to be digitally signed and uploaded.

This same process needs to be repeated with Requirements and several other deliverables.

Management would like a single place to view the deliverable status and I'm not sure it that's a dashboard that could be created or if that is a manual process outside of Wrike that requires adding a single resource to each task to be notified when that task is marked as complete, but I am hoping there is an automated, internal to Wrike option.

Brian Hamilton - What about setting the deliverables as milestones and then creating a dashboard to show if they are active/complete and if they are on time/late? That would be a single place to show the status of all open deliverables. You could do something similar with custom item types.

I'm assuming there's a unique task in each of the projects for the project charter and requirements document to be uploaded. Those unique tasks would each be a milestone (or custom item type) and that's how you'd filter the dashboard.

Here's the dashboard filter for milestones. It's under Task Type.
