[Status: Not planned] Poll inside an task, new function in Wrike?

Hi Kim, that's an interesting idea, thanks for sharing! Something I can recommend in the meantime is using Custom Fields. Each created field can be a poll parameter, for example, "Important", "Moderate", "Not Important", and then the values in the field can be numbers. Each time someone goes in and wants to choose a certain option, they add a +1 to the counter. Then, you'll be able to easily see this data in Table View, Reports, as well as filter for certain values. Does this make sense? Happy to discuss this in more detail!

A workaround that seem to be taking unnecessarily long time then just had some simple pol thing inside an task. @mention is also making it more messy inside an task that might already have several comments.

Please move this suggestion up higher in the queue for new capabilities.

This would definitely be helpful for us as well!

You can create a custom field (polling) with the voting value (high, med low) or (1,2, 3, 4, 5) to capture an entry from a system user. Now that the custom field history feature has been applied, you will be able to see each person's response. I think this solves it relatively well without the need for development for such a simple function. If you had a lot of people voting it may be less manageable, but a quick glance at 20 or less is not a lot of effort in my opinion.

There is probably a smarter way to add the different values entered (aggregation to average?), I tried the instructions at https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/209603049-Custom-Fields under "Aggregate and Sort Data" but I couldn't get it to work. I don't get a "carrot" icon. But I tried bother "dropdown" and "Number" custom field types with aggregation set to "sum" and then "average" but nothing visibly changed onscreen. Maybe the instructions are missing "where the result displays"? I can't see it. Someone else might have mastered that. If there is a way to do that, in my opinion that would be full functionality for basic polling solved.

I have surveymonkey and a devoted live-polling software system, but for such simple polling (vote on whether this should go live), I wouldn't bother using those applications, to me it would be overkill and I'd rather have the data held within the task. This would also be dependant on whether it is just Wrike system users polling, or you had a greater audience outside of the system.

Any updates on the addition of voting functionality within a task? This would be extremely helpful and add efficiency.

Hi everyone! While I don't have an update for voting functionalities within a task at the moment, I'd recommend using Approvals in the meantime. Seeing how many approve or unapprove a task can act as a form of voting and help you make decisions in relation to your work.

For now, I'd like to suggest a workaround that might work in some cases: you can use emojis for voting under comments in your tasks, projects, and folders. For example, you can use these: ➕ and ➖. Hope this can help!
