Outlook Addin

Hey Wrike,

Trying to use your software more efficiently but I can't get the outlook add-in to work.

Where is the offline installer so I can install it on outlook for the desktop?

I see I could get it for Office365 but I need it for work and we use Outlook 2013 connected to our exchange server.

Thanks,

Bobby

Hi Bobby, thanks for your post! Have you tried the steps to install the Outlook add-in outlined here? Once you have installed while logged into your Outlook credentials then the add-on will be available with Outlook 2013.

You will also need to make sure that you're using the add-in with a Microsoft mail provider. This add-in won't work with Gmail or POP/IMAP servers.

Let me know how you get on with the above, and I can troubleshoot further. Thanks!

So you do not have an offline installer that I can download to my computer to install it that way?

I tried following those instructions but it doesnt work on our outlook webmail client.

Thanks,

Thanks for coming back to me, Bobby. There's no offline installer that you can download, you need to follow the instructions outlined on the help center pages. There's an installation error with the 2013 version, but we are working on fixing that. I hope that adds some clarification. If you have any questions, I'm here to help!

hi,

my company uses both google apps, and the desktop version of outlook 365.  a few years ago (last time we had wrike up) there was a downloadable addin for outlook that worked awesome, what happened to this?  do you have plans to include the outlook addin again for non-microsoft email account users?

we are currently in trial version, and this is a big sticking point in our decision process.

thank you,

-Ryan

Hi Ryan, welcome to Wrike and the Community!

Due to some technical changes, we could no longer support that older MS Outlook add-in and we needed to work on more compatible software. The new version we released this year is compatible with more server clients, like web-based and mobile applications.

Is there any particular feature you're looking to use? More than happy to discuss them here 👍

Hey Wrike, I have the outlook add-in and for some emails it appears and works well and I can create tasks and folders, but for other emails is doesn't exist, it comes and goes depending on the email I receive. I am using Outlook for MAC on the most up-to-date OS

Hello Stephen,

I just listed for a trial version of Wrike but I cannot seem to make it work.

I have MS Offcie 365, with desktop version of Outlook installed on my computer.

I managed the plug-in for Word, but I don not manage for Outllok, not even Outlook 365.

My Outlook takes its email from a Microsoft Exchange server, I don not know if it is a reason for the malfonctionning.

Thank you for any help to make it work.

So just to be clear- you no longer support Outlook Desktop '13 or '16? Just Online exchange?

Hi Jeff, Wrike for Outlook is compatible with the below:

From our Help Centre article:

Compatible Mail Provider (where your email account is hosted)

The Outlook add-in works with 32-bit versions of Outlook.

  • Office 365 Business subscription (Exchange online)
  • Outlook.com
  • Exchange Server 2013 or later

Please note, non-Microsoft mail providers (like Gmail or any other POP/IMAP accounts) are not supported.

Compatible Mail Clients (where you check your email)

  • Outlook for Windows 2013 and 2016
  • Outlook for Mac 2016
  • Outlook on the Web
  • Outlook on iOS and Android

Any questions, I'm happy to help!

Thank you Stephen, this all makes sense. Whenever I open my Wrike for Outlook desktop client, all I get is an eternally loading pane off to the right hand side thought and I can't do anything.

My organization settings appear to allow for this but I still don't get any utility out of the Wrike add-in.

My Windows OS is 64-bit Win-10.

Is it because my OS is 64-bit, are there any plans to create compatibility for 64-bit?

There are no plans for this right now Jeff I'm sorry to say.

You could create a Product Feedback post specifically about this. Then other members can vote for it and our Product Team who frequent that section of the community would be able to see the idea and vote on it 👍

So my company has the MS Store to redirect to our company store. The admins for the company store stated that they can't add Wrike for Outlook to our store. We are allowed to have the add-in but need to get the installer as an offline. From what I read here, you don't offer an offline, correct?

Hello, here is the problem I am facing. I followed the instructions to add the add-in to my corporate Office 365 account hoping that I will be able to use Wrike from any client. I got the message "Sorry, Office 365 has been configured to prevent individual acquisition of Office Add-ins." Any advise to install it locally in my PC at least for Outlook 2013 or 2016?

I used to have the wrike button feature on my desktop Outlook, microsoft 365. So when an email came in, I could convert that email into a comment or task per project. I loved that feature but it one day disappeared. I have been working on this since March and still no success-
