[Use Cases] Daily Task Tracker ✅

Hi everyone 👋

Are you ready for another use case discussion?

Today, let’s discuss one of the all-purpose templates called Daily Task Tracker. This template can help you organize your work, set achievable goals, and tick off the tasks throughout the day.

  • Use Case: Daily Task Tracker.
  • Can be used by: Individuals.
  • How to launch: From the space creation dialogue.
  • Functionality used: Folders, tasks, a request form, a dashboard, a calendar, a report, and tags.
  • What’s inside: Folders for prioritizing tasks, a Daily Task Tracker request form that populates these folders, a task calendar, a task dashboard, and a task report.
  • Additional resources:

- Top Tips to Manage Your Daily Tasks on the Wrike blog.
- The template’s page on the Wrike website.

Daily Task Tracker

To get started with the tracker, you’ll need to create a new task. Fill out the pre-made request form called Daily Task Tracker Form with the necessary details, including the task title, urgency level, due date, and any additional notes for context.

Once the request is submitted, it creates a task in one of the prioritization folders depending on the priority level you assigned to it.

The tasks will have color-coded tags that represent their priority level.

There’s also an additional folder that holds the template task that is used to create a new task after the request form submission. Make sure not to delete that task 📌

In the tools section, there are a number of useful apps to help you manage, track, and report on your daily tasks.

For me, my daily task are all my projects. I'm loving the calendar as it give me a quick look at anything due today, tomorrow, next week, etc. If I'm going on vacation, I can try to work ahead to keep everything on target.

Our team won't really use this space to organize their work, but I see how this could be beneficial for users that don't already have a layout set up

Our team could benefit from this described process. We leverage our projects to help with daily tasks, but this process could be beneficial to bring in activities that we might need to put more importance, like Action Items.

We do leverage calendars to help communicate key activities to keep everyone on the same page.

Thanks for the ideas.

I use a physical planner for most of my daily tasks, but I could see myself using this for my tasks outside of what exists in our current process. I would mainly use it for action items related to meetings, Wrike related tasks I need to do, or other small things that aren't tied to another project. Is there a way to get this to create within your personal space?

I organize myself just like Devree Czupinski. I will definitely try this out for myself though!

I use dashboards to manage my day to day work  on projects - but I think I may play with this template - for more of my non-project work and prioritizing tasks!

The one thing I like about this is the calendar. I dont think I will be rolling this out with my company as our spaces are for business unit primary functions. If this was a function of the Personal Space I could see it being useful.

Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts and feedback, everyone! For now, each use case template creates a new space in Wrike, but it's possible to tag certain elements to other spaces you normally use.

We've also made the team aware of your feedback 🙂

I am with Shelly Erickson in that my 'tasks' are my projects.

I use my dashboard in order to view priority; the project that's due the soonest is #1, then I work my way down the list.

It looks like something that may be beneficial, though I don't have the option to create it in my account. my tasks are all related to projects too as others have stated.

This is a good template but we use  dashboards to track our tasks and My to-list for collaborators . The task calendar though is interesting. Might be something that the team can use! Thanks for sharing!

We are also using dashboards and projects to track our work, but the calendar idea is interesting. We are using calendars to manage communications and potential conflicts, but we are not using them to manage individual tasks.
