[From Wrike] 🔥 Time Support in Date Custom Field 🔥
Hi everyone!
Today is a very special day for our Community, a day that many of you have been waiting for! 🥁🥁🥁
It gives us huge pleasure to announce the Wrike Labs release of time support in date-type custom fields!
This Product Feedback suggestion that inspired our Product team to work on this functionality is the most upvoted idea on Wrike’s Community. We’d like to use this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who voted and commented on that thread 🤗
There’s still a lot of research ahead and this Labs release is just the first step, but we’re hoping that you are as excited about this as we are 😊
Time support - how to
The improved date-time custom field now allows you to add time data to it. It helps you communicate by which exact time the task needs to be finished to the assignees.
📍Important: To start using this functionality, make sure to enable it in Wrike Labs.
Our Automation Engine also supports this field, so you can get notifications when a task is overdue or a task’s due time is approaching. For that, use the date-time custom field to create an automated alert via Wrike’s Automation Engine.
📍Important: Please note that date-time custom fields are only visible and editable in Task view and Table view.
Please check out this Help Center article for more detail on this experimental functionality 👍
We can’t wait to hear what you think! Please share your feedback and questions below!

Excited to try this! It's not showing up yet in Wrike Labs for me. Is there an estimation on when it will appear?
🥳 Great add!
I've been looking forward to this for some time. All links to Labs result in a white screen with no additional content though. I found old posts regarding this, but nothing recent. I'm unable to progress.
Help?
Perfect! I will be passing this on to our other admins! Thank you!
Happy to hear you're excited 🥳
Darnell Brady It should already be available, could you please check again and let me know if you see it in Labs?
Markie Castle I'd recommend clearing the cache in this case. If it doesn't help, I'll be happy to raise a Support ticket for you 👍

This is awesome! Very helpful with our roadmap dashboard!
👍 great feature
Lisa All I see are 'Roll Up Dates in Gantt Chart' and 'Google Calendar Integration'. I tried opening an incognito browser, logging in to have cleared cache and it's still only those 2 options.
Darnell Brady Thank you for checking! Are you an admin or owner in your account?

Lisa I am not, but I can go ask our admin/owner to see if it's available for him.
Lisa, I've tried clearing the cache and restarting the browser. It made me sign-in again to get to the Labs link even after signing in to Wrike, but still a blank white screen.
MacOS 11.6.1 (Big Sur), Chrome 96.0.4664.110 (Official Build) (arm64), MacBook Air (M1, 2020)
Great that this will become available. But please make it also available in Gantt view. I normaly plan my scedule in Gantt not in table.
looks good.
Great to see this being made available :-)
Any chance it might be applied in the tasks due date as well and not only custom fields?
We are very happy to hear you like this update 🙌
Darnell Brady Thank you, please let me know how it goes! Currently, only account admins and owners can enable the functionality for Wrike Labs 😊
Markie Castle Thanks for the detail and sorry for the inconvenience! I've asked my colleagues to reach out to you about this 👍
Sven Passinger, Neyl Walecki Thanks for your suggestions, I'll let our product team know about them 🤗

I am so excited! So many templates to choose from! Thanks for sharing!
Coming back from the holidays and receiving such great news is a perfect start in 2022! Happy new year everyone and thanks Wrike-Team for adding this feature 🎉
I just enabled the feature in Wrike Labs and am looking forward to try it out! 👍
Looks like an exciting update - not sure my team has a use case right now, but I will be interested to see if our SME group wants to try it out or not!
So great to hear you liked the update, everyone! 😊 We are planning to share some educational content in relation to this release in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any questions or feedback on time support 🤗

Lisa hi, I don't see it in "labs"
There are only:
Roll Up Dates in Gantt Chart
Google Calendar Integration
Effort Allocation
Hey Michał Tworek! Currently, only account admins and owners can enable the functionality for Wrike Labs. If you are an admin or owner but still cant' see it in Labs, please let me know!

Hello Lisa,
Glad to hear from WRIKE regarding this implementation. Any chance to be also shortly implamented into the Gantt View ? This would be very appreciated. Maybe it is better if I open a new topic dedicated to the merge of the abovementionned solution together with the Gantt Chart?
Best regards,
Martin.
Hey Martin MELCHIOR! Our team is listening very closely now as this has been released in Labs recently. I think it's a good idea to post this suggestion on the Product Feedback forum. For now, we can't say what's planned for time support, but we'll keep you posted 👍

I think this would be better if it was an option for the standard Due Date field. All of our tasks and projects use the standard fields, and we don't want to have to change everything over to a custom field to use the time feature.
Thank you for letting us know that Ashley Fischer, I'll pass your feedback to the team 🙌

Hi Lisa,
there seems to be an issue regarding this feature when using a date/time custom field in a request form. The form doesn't show the time value, only the date (as like normal date fields), and if submitted, the custom date/time field is empty.
Hello Florian Kislich, thank you for reaching out! You are right, the time support isn't yet available for request forms. As this is a Beta feature, the team continues to research potential improvements, so your feedback comes at a good time.
I am forwarding your feedback to the responsible team now, so they could consider it in future iterations. I can also suggest posting in our Product Feedback forum so that other Community members could support your suggestion. Thanks for your contribution!

Hi Darina,
thanks for your reply. Maybe you could see the implementation of time values in request forms as an additional feature. But for me the actual behaviour is a bug, and it is still persisting.
After changing a custom date field to date/time, even the date of a corresponding requestform is not stored! The custum filed ist just empty after filling a request form. Could you please investigate to fix this?
Hi Florian Kislich, I've flagged this with the team, as my colleague Darina mentioned above this is a Beta feature and subject to change. We'll be sure to update you👍🏼
