[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Current User filter in Reports
The current user is available as a filter on dashboard widgets, but it would be nice to also have that filter option on reports. I realize that the user does not necessarily directly interact with the system to generate the report, but it's still being delivered to or run by a particular person.
A very common use case is to share a timesheet report. It would surely be ideal to create one report filtered to current user, for sharing with all employees that track time.
This would be a great feature especially until you can get the feature implemented where you can create and share reports so that users can customize the report for their use case. E.g. Their Project or their PTO. Etc.
Also, the "ME" text under a USER filter mislead me to thinking reports where i selected ME would translate relative to the user when i shared rhe report.
Yes, please. This is definitely a need for us. Otherwise we have to have each person create a report for themselves and if something has to change everybody has to change it.
Can someone from the Wrike team weigh in on whether this is on the road map?
Hi everyone, thanks for your ideas and feedback here! This is a Backburner for now, and the team is planning to investigate in Q4. I'll let you know how it goes 👍

Hey guys, a quick update - the team is still interested, but it currently is not on the short-term roadmap. I'll let you know about any updates.
We have a set of Collaborator users that can't have dashboards. They fill out request forms and then they have to do approvals on the content that comes out of the project. Having Current User an option in the filter of reports would be helpful so I could set up one report called My Approvals and it would filter on Pending Approvals by current user.
This is a pretty big gap for in my opinion. I'm trying to help out the entire team by setting up some reports for task maintenance and I'm figuring out they'll have to each create copies of the report and reconfigure for themselves. Wrike is super easy to use but I'd still rather create one report than having to teach users how to set up the report for themselves. Instead of three reports we'll now have 30x3 reports for the same purpose.
We're still new with our deployment, but I expect to have the collaborator use case as well. Its not practical to have to create a status report on behalf of each of our collabotors.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Jason West!

I completely agree that this is a big gap in reporting, especially for time entries. It would be great to create one global report in our environment for team members to review their timesheet entries on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Currently we need to ask each team member to create their own report to do so. This becomes administratively difficult as the team grows and as we onboard new users. This feature would help with being able to set standards across the team for how we review and analyze various information.
Hi Daniel Camilleri, thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback here 🤗
I'm checking with the team now to see if there are any updates 👍

Lisa is there any way to increase the priority of this request? This is a 3 year old request for a feature that comes standard in a lot (most?) project management software. Having people create their own reports, as opposed to sharing a standardized report leads to frustration, errors and lost time. Unless this is somehow extremely difficult under the current architecture, I would encourage the team to re-consider putting this on the road map.
Alternately if this is for some reason easier, maybe you can give us a button on the actual report that will on click filter down to "my" reports only.
Thank you for the consideration.
Yuriy Shikhanovich Thanks a lot for your continued support here. This suggestion will be on the team's radar especially because it has more than 60 upvotes. We will continue to ask for updates from the team too. Once we have any news, we will share here.

Adding onto the thread here 😁! This would be a HUGE improvement to Wrike if we were able to have the filter by Current User. This is huge for those in my company who do not need to use Wrike on a regular basis and thus have a collaborator only access. Since they cannot currently use the Dashboards under their permissions, it's very difficult and a huge blocker for the team. My program, amongst others, has well over 1,000 tasks (nearly 4,000 tasks within just my organization and that's just a small subset of a much larger group). The reports are massive and annoying for the user to find their items unless grouped by assignee. This is just one use case among many. I can do this on Jira through creating a query and dashboard, Wrike needs to add this to their repertoire. Hopefully this gets off the Backburner soon! Recommend if you vote, add a comment as well with your use case and experience.
Thanks so much for sharing detailed feedback here Mary Hess! 🙌

Just upvoted this. It is disappointing to see such a useful request be neglected by the Wrike product team for 4+ years. This type of view is BAU in many other PM tools.
Hi Kevin Mayfield, thank you for posting and sharing your thoughts, I'm sorry to read you're disappointed.
We’d love to be able to implement all of the suggestions that our customers share with us, but we have to prioritize certain requests over others based on various factors and considerations at the time. Although this isn’t currently planned, we will continue to pass on all of your feedback and insights here to our Product Team, and of course, we will let you know if anything changes.
Adding to the comments and thoughts of others, having the ability to select the Current User as a filter would definitely be a huge help in creating and managing a standard set of reports/analytics that can easily be created and shared, providing a way to enable a consistent end user experience and promoting the use of the tool to support day to day activities and feedback. Having to request each user create their own copy of a report (100+ in some cases) is not scalable. It would be much better to have 1 report with dynamic filtering based on system information (Current User in this case), that is read only for all users and only editable by the owner (controlled through sharing permissions).
