Request Form - Option to link Form Pages with Tasks

Hi,

Project Template is nice but it is not dynamic, all the answers from the form gets added to the main project description which makes the sub-tasks of my project template irrelevant in my case.

On the request form, I tried to add pages, thinking that I could link a page to a new task or link a page to a task of a project template but the option does not exist.

I believe that one form request can contain multiple tasks and it would be great to have the possibility of splitting some section of the request to different sub-task.

Can this be added as an add-on or on the project road map for Request Forms?

This would be a good use of the pages from the form request, 1 page - 1 task.

I could see this being useful to create new tasks as well with applicable project details stored in it.

Perhaps it could work similarly to the "redirect", "add project owner", etc fields.

We try to limit use of projects wherever possible because of the issue brought up by JJ Malfant. Using and managing projects would become so much more helpful if you could parse out responses to certain questions in specific task descriptions.

Yes that is a very good idea, exactly this described case we need currently also in DE. There should be the possibility to define in a form which field should be placed in which project, task or subtask.
And if you also take this idea,

that you get the possibility, to also dump information into an existing task or project via a form, that would be PERFECT.

Thank you for your support here Ronald Otmar Theil! I think that our dynamic request forms do a lot of things described above. Please let me know what you think!

Lisa The forms do not fulfill the above mentioned requirements. That is why the community here also wants to have them realized.

Thanks for getting back to me Ronald Otmar Theil! I'm sorry for the misunderstanding here. I understand that there's another request here to be able to create new subtasks with request forms, and that suggestion is passed on to the Product Team.

Here in this thread, I can see that other Community members have been discussing some of the functionality that's already available like adding additional assignees, subtasks etc:

But please correct me if I misunderstood!

Hi Lisa,

I believe the request here is identical to what was actually being asked for in this post (where I disagree with the status having been changed to launch, although we did have the opportunity to object and no one spoke up at the time 😋).  https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360018601433--STATUS-LAUNCHED-Request-Form?page=1#community_comment_4415125942039

While the project blueprints work for "adding subtask", you cannot then map any unique responses into that subtask.
We use our request forms a lot with our clients (and trying to increase, to help declutter email inboxes and make our work more efficient). However, asking our clients to fill in a form multiple times because each page can't create a separate task is really painful.

For example, we require documentation for each employee a contractor will bring on site. At the moment, the contractor has to submit an individual request form per employee. Instead of filling the form in once, and each page creating a new task for each employee they're list. I hope that use case makes sense? We have similar cases with the client forms.

Anyways...I created a new product request on this topic in 2019, keeping my fingers crossed will be considered by the Product Team soon! https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360037721213-Include-Subtask-Details-with-Dynamic-Request-Forms
