⚡ Releases - Conditional Follow-Up in Forms Expanded; New Slack, Teams and Outlook Automation Integration & More! (12/18/2023)

Feature Updates

Request Forms - All Question Types Supported as Conditional Follow-Up 📃

You can now use any question type as a conditional follow-up question in request forms! This means that you can now use the following question types as a follow-up in request forms:
  • Multi-select
  • Single-select
  • Assignee
  • Date
  • Single-line
  • Attachment
  • Importance
  • Number
  • Paragraph

You can learn more about how follow-up conditional questions work in our dedicated Community post or our Help Center article.

Automation - Expanding Integrations in Automation: Slack, Teams and Outlook 🔄

We have expanded the integrations available in automation and now you will now find three new actions among the integration action options:
  • Send Slack message
  • Send Microsoft Teams message
  • Send Outlook email

With these new automation integrations, you can choose any trigger to receive updates about events directly in your preferred channels.

Also, with the Send email with Outlook, you can set up automatic email distribution and ensure everyone stays updated, even those who do not yet have a Wrike account.

We plan on integrating even more features into automation, so stay tuned for exciting announcements coming your way 🙂

The slack integration notes that "Private channels might not be visible in the menu." - they just aren't, and I can't just type in the channel name and manually find it either. Any update on when this will be added? Thanks!

Super!
@... have you in planning the possibility to add more conditional follow-up questions for each question.

For example, I've a multi select question and for each answer selected I need two or more follow-up questions.

Thanks

Already noticed and am using the different options for follow up questions on a form. What a great update!!

I'll second Pietro that adding multiple conditional follow-up questions would be really helpful. I'm currently using multiple pages to work around this, but it's so much harder to manage the form this way since you have to scroll FOREVER. On that note, having a table of contents on the form would be great so you could easily click to the question you need. I'll submit that as a suggestion.

I'm very excited to see what else is added to automation. I'm hoping a Google email is next since the calendar event is already an option :)

Happy Holidays everyone!

This Slack automation is fantastic.
But...
I'm using a new automation in Wrike to create alerts in Slack. Alerts are being sent correctly. However, only the link for the task that is about to be completed will be included. When I copy a task link in Slack without automation, it opens task details. By automation, only the link appears.

When I copy the task link and paste it into Slack, the task details are sent:

However, when the automation sends the alert to Slack, only a link to the task appears:

As only a link is sent without a description, people in the Slack channel need to keep opening the link to find out who the task belongs to and which project it belongs to. Is it possible to arrange so that the details of the task owner name, task name and project name appear?

Thank you very much in advance. This automation is great, it just needs this adjustment to be perfect.
Happy holidays everyone!

Recently this pop-up has been coming constantly. I click the X to close it and it disappears until I change folder or task or project. Anyone else having this issue? I even tried clicking the "Create a rule" button. Anyone else experiencing this? And before anyone asks, yes I have closed the application, and even have turned the computer off and on in this time frame.

HI @...,
for Outlook Email, is there any way to send email to the email of the external user has used a specific form to create task?

I have a question about the fields you can include in the Slack message. Are there more options than what is listed in the help box: [item name]
[status]
[assignee]
[start date]
[due date]
[author]
[last modified date]

I would love to have the project name as an option.

Hi Patrick Reilly, welcome to the Community! Thank you for sharing this question with us; I'm afraid that this option is currently not available.

May I kindly ask you to create a new Product Feedback post mentioning this suggestion so other users can upvote it? 🙂

Thank you!

@... we have used the follow questions now in almost all of our forms. We have hit the point where two follow up questions aren't enough though. Do you know if there will be the option to have more follow questions? Currently we would need to direct to a new page and then start over with the three follow up questions...

Hi Pietro Poli, I'm afraid I'm not 100% sure I understand your question. May I kindly ask you to elaborate a bit on your case? Thank you!

Aivan Cedullo we use this integration for a content delivery calendar.

A shared outlook mailbox exists that has a shared calendar to display when different content is being delivered. This content is worked on within Wrike by the team, but they have stakeholders who want to see the calendar of content in their outlook calendars for comparison with other work calendars. So we have an automation that adds an event to the shared outlook calendar with just the due date (delivery date) for the content.

Hi @... regarding my previous question.

I've a public form for our customers.
Each customer can use form to ask new features or report a bug.
So customer insert their name and email.

I want to create some automation that allow me, when I cange status to send to requester email a confirmation that status is changed.

Hey Pietro Poli, I don't believe that's possible. Would be good to have a separate thread for this suggestion 🙂
