[From Wrike] Try the New Wrike Lightspeed Experience! ⚡️
Прикреплено ВыделеноHello Community 🙂
At our annual Wrike Collaborate conference last year, we announced our biggest platform update - Wrike Lightspeed. This enhanced platform is based on three core values - ease of use, customisability, and scalability, and it enables teams, departments, and organisations to work together as one. Wrike Lightspeed offers the most modern UI and connected experience. Its release is a huge milestone and enhancement of the classic Wrike solution.
Many of you have tried the new Board View, new Table View, new navigation, new Calendar view, and many other innovations. We really appreciate all the feedback that you’ve been providing us with, and we never stop enhancing based on our findings and your input.
Since the initial introduction of Wrike Lightspeed, we’ve been improving the features and views and shared those updates in our Weekly Release Notes forum, held numerous interviews, and a webinar on all things Wrike Lightspeed, and now, you can easily try out this out via our Lightspeed toggle, to see all of the great new functionality we have in store 🥳
Wrike Lightspeed Toggle is here ⚡️
We’ve introduced a brand new Wrike Lightspeed toggle that any user can enable for their individual workspace. When the toggle is enabled, you will get the Lightspeed experience:
📍New Table View - With some of the recent enhancements like new design, significantly improved loading speed, new right-side panel for viewing items, new fields menu, priority sorting for projects and folders, conditional formatting for custom fields (in addition to calculated fields), clickable links in text custom fields, and many more.
- What will be added soon: mass actions, turning on rollups and progress for the whole hierarchy, predecessor column, location column, aggregations, table export.
📍New Board View - It’s at complete capability parity with the previous version now, with very exciting enhancements added like subtask visibility, new UI and improved interactions, assignee & date editing from the cards, handy actions in the context menu, easier custom field management, faster performance, and more.
📍New Work Item View - That makes your experience more streamlined - all your tasks, projects, folders and custom item types will be viewed in the same view. We also recently added accentuated top fields so as not to miss the necessary metadata of the item (you can configure them in the custom item type settings) and a collapsible side panel with properties that helps you to focus on the content and comments.
- What will be added soon: improved navigation within the view, printing, project progress, project following, budgeting fields (time spent and rollups), integrations (email, calendar, Zoom), editing by email (the ability to create tasks, and send comments via email), and more.
📍New navigation and design with the new sidebar and toolbar. With everything available in the sidebar, we've eliminated the need for a Home page, allowing you to jump right back into your work. Plus, we've made it even easier for you by remembering where you left off when you closed the workspace last time. Customisation of the sidebar & view header allows for a cleaner and easier experience.
- What will be added soon: easier work with your frequently used spaces (hiding, showing, reordering, searching, etc.), viewing all your spaces at once similar to your current sidebar (ability to preview space structure before navigating into it).
You can check out the specifics on what’s new in these views in this Wrike Lightspeed Knowledge Base article.
As our team continues to work on these features to achieve full capability parity with the previous version, you can toggle on and toggle off the Lightspeed experience for now. It is a great time to try out the enhanced features and share feedback! Our team is keeping a very close eye on it 👀
How to Enable ✅
All users on all Wrike plans can enable Wrike Lightspeed for their personal accounts.
- Open your Wrike account and click on your profile picture.
- In the list that appears find the Try Lightspeed toggle and switch it on.
What’s Next? 🔮
As our Product team continues to enhance the new experience, they are really looking forward to getting your feedback to be able to address it!
Later this year, we are planning to start rolling out the new Wrike Lightspeed experience for all users, so we want to make sure you’re happy with it!
Please try out the new Wrike Lightspeed experience and share your feedback with us 👇

I like the new view, however I miss individually scrolling columns in the new board view - which can be very very important if you have one column with literally 30 cards and another column with 3.
Also looking forward to seeing edit by email be available in the work item view. I also think that information density still has ways to increase.
The new work item view discourages teams from using Custom Fields as so few are visible without endless scrolling - this is a major issue for our Company as we use a lot of custom fields for reporting. Big miss on this one.
The new work item view is stupid. It was a big advantage to have a standard task and then custom item types looking different. It was fantastic working with tasks and every coworker seeing something different knows he is in the wrong place.
I also agree that custom fields are bad to see now if we have some more.
in LightSpeed no Mailadress for Wrike Tasks is available any more. Why did you delete this feature? Only link is available but not mail.
We need to put TIMELOG insert in the top of the new Item view
i am missing "convert tot regular task" and "convert to milestone" from the CIT menu see screenshot below (taken with lightspeed off)
we would wait on the the print option release, tnx
I actually really appreciate and much prefer the new work item design. I think it does a better job of handling custom fields because now we can create custom items types and set the order of custom fields and hide the fields that are only for back-end reporting, so it doesn't clutter up the view for people just looking at the task.
Search field:
Those buttons should be accessible everywhere, particularly the search field, and not been hidden by the work item panel
In the work item panel:
The Custom Field lack contrat between labels and values. Eye can't focus on the right place here. Think accessibility on your designs, it will definitely improve ui/ux. eg : light grey bacground will appears like it's not here on bad screens.
Still missing quote option to format some text in the content
Lightspeed:
My feeling about the velocity isn't constant. Sometimes it's better, sometimes not. Just a feeling though.
spaces:
a search field with autofocus at the top would be an improvement, to search faster without opening a speedless overlay.
Custom Field:
I haven't found how to add new ones and manage it inside a project or tasks' project.
Can we expect to see the "Add to calendar" option to be included?
This morning I wanted to return to a project I had viewed earlier but was unable to find a location that houses my recently viewed projects. Never realized that how often I utilized that home page feature! Am I missing where that lives on Lightspeed?
Hi folks, we really appreciate your feedback 🙂 Let me address the points you've made:
I hope this info is useful 🙂 Thanks again for your feedback!

Lisa regarding: "Gantt Chart is the one main view in Wrike that has not been significantly updated. We are looking to work on that after finalising the main features of the new Table view."
If you are going to think about a new gantt view please add our feedback to the team. (We also communicated trough our account manager in the last meeting)
We see the Gantt view as a view cq. expansion of the Table View so we would like to have the same functionality in the (new) table view as in the Gantt view. We use extra wide screen to plan and jumping from table to Gantt view is undesirable. Could a new Gantt view be made with the same functionality as table view? Or can the new table view be expanded with a Gantt chart window to open optionally? (much like in gantt view you can hide the gantt part and only view the table part)
In addition we would like to determine the colour of a Gantt view bar for each tasks/project sparely, for example by custom field. The view should be easily switched by ‘colour by status’ and ‘colour by tasks custom field’ Much like calendars can be viewed in colours by status and colour by calendar. We use this to colour the Gantt by department.
More colours on status would also be appreciated.
@Lisa, that's great news! Do you have an estimate of where on the roadmap edit by email will be? Having worked with Wrike (or similar PMM tools) in different environments and for different companies, the "edit by email" feature is probably one of the most important in my daily work. Especially, since in client services not all needs can be met by using the general email (wrike@wrike.com), or at least not without a huge drop in productivity.
And to end on a positive note, I love the new Lightspeed experience. It has fixed almost all the user experience issues I had with the 2019 version. I'm looking forward to the new improvements to come!
The roll out of Lightspeed confused users in my company. Not everybody follows Wrike community (most users do not). So a pop up of Wrike Lightspeed with a Beta Test feature (without saying that in the pop up) makes normal users angry.
No good publicity for Wrike.
I had a lot of calls from users, who said that they turned on Lightspeed and are missing things (see all the comments before). So please if you roll out a Beta Test clearly say that in the pop up. The will to use Wrike decreased in our company by this action. That is not good as it cost time and money for us.
Also users complained why their is again a new UI they have to deal with? They asked for the benefit for a normal user (who is working on the tasks). Nobody ca see it. Please concentrate more on the users and not on marketing gimmiks as a new UI.
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback, ideas, and concerns here, folks! Please rest assured our team is monitoring it very closely.

I do like the new interface; however we need the ability to customize the 3 items at the top of the task detail screen. For instance, I don't necessarily need the date to be so prominent, whereas I'd prefer the task Location to be right there. I mention this because I often compress my windows on my screen which then truncates the right column from view.
Within a task, there's no way (that we can see) to be able to log time spent.
Hi Jeff Buettler and Emily Trussler, thanks for weighing in here and adding your thoughts. Noted! We've passed this on to the team 👍

A concern I have with lightspeed is that there are now extra clicks:
These extra clicks really add up, especially when I'm moving between spaces, dashboards, and subprojects throughout the day. I think lightspeed has add 200+ additional clicks per day for me.
In addition to more clicks, a major inconvenience in lightspeed when looking at a task (i.e. in the task panel) is that the subtask is no longer near the top/header of the task - you have to scroll all the way past the description to see subtasks. This is unfortunate especially when wanting to confirm how the dates align without going into a different view.
Third major concern: When viewing a task from the inbox, I am not seeing a way to see what folder the task is in, or a way to navigate to that folder.
Fourth issue: The pinned folder/project section of the left sidebar is no longer sorted alphabetically, and there's no option to change the way it is sorted. I realize it's sorted by what you pinned most recently, but that gets messy for me quite quickly.
Jacob Bodnar writes above: "[now we can] set the order of custom fields and hide the fields that are only for back-end reporting"
How do we do that?
Hey Anna Schild, thank you for such detailed feedback, it will be shared with our team shortly!
Hi Simon Stacpoole, welcome to the Community 👋 Could you please tell me if you've tried using custom item types? You can customize the layout of your items using them. I'd be happy to discuss further 🙂

Lisa can you give any information about the Lightspeed roll out to all users?
As this is a mayor change we have to change all our training documents and also to give the users a warning in advance with tips how to find the important things they need. I am already in preperation for that, but I need a timeline I must also present to our management.
Hey Sven Passinger, we'll be sharing this info in the Community later before the rollout begins. For now, I'll inform your Wrike Account team about your question and they'll reach out to you 🙂

Am I being dumb? I can't find my blueprints in Lightspeed!
OK, so just found them in the 'Spaces' menu - had to change space to the 'Blueprints' option.
That seemed a big obscure, though - is there a better way? Blueprints used to be more upfront in the old view, with multiple ways of getting to them.
Hi Shona Snowden, glad to hear you've found them! I'll be passing your feedback on their discoverability to our team for sure 👍
We are also going to release space-level blueprints soon, we'll be announcing it as soon as they are live!
Also, no questions are dumb here, so please feel free to ask the Community anything 🤗

Hi, there used to be many useful functions, like the Completed checkbox, now we have to do more clicks for every task... Also when you want to delete an assignee now you have to do more clicks... All these things are annoying and used to be better in the previous version, I don't understand where is the upgrade...
If you are on a MacBook Air you can't see the author or the folder for the task, you have to open the lateral bar and it uses too much space, this used to be better when the information was all visible at the top of the task
