Convert project into a task

Hi Ansley, thanks for reaching out! I noticed that the Support Team has already reached out to help with this, but I wanted to post the answer here too in case other Community members are interested. A Project cannot be directly converted into a task in Wrike, since they have different attributes. The best way to go about this would be to create a new task with the Project's name, and then delete the original Project, making sure that all required tasks from it were moved to a different location beforehand. If you want to convert the existing tasks into subtasks, this can be done by adding them to the new task - our Subtasks article includes a short video guide on this. Hi Tracy! There’s no other way to convert a Folder into a task except manually creating a task with the same title as the Folder, copying the Folder’s description to the task and deleting the Folder. This may not be ideal since comments and attachments won’t be preserved, but it’s the best workaround I can provide at the moment. Let me know if you have any questions, I’m always happy to help!

I want to chime in here because I think there is value in being able to convert projects to tasks. I understand there may be some structural differences, but maybe just a warning message that some data may be lost and then allow the user to decide. We use Wrike for a variety of tasks and it would be helpful if we could easily make this transition.
