  • Weekly Release Notes - We're pressing pause and looking for your feedback ๐Ÿ“ข
We know how much you love our release notes and we want to make them even better for you! So, we want to hear your feedback. Please, share with us here in the comments your thoughts on what we can do better (or tell us about what's already going great), weโ€™re open to any feedback you have. We're currently planning on making a move to sharing these updates on a monthly basis (upon further investigation), so if you have any thoughts on this we'd love to hear them ๐Ÿ‘‡
ย
For now, we plan to take a break from our weekly updates (so you won't see any posts here in the next few weeks), but we will be back with an even better release note experience very soon, stay tuned. In the meantime make sure that you are subscribed to our Brought to You by Wrike forum so you wonโ€™t miss all the exciting updates we are releasing! ๐Ÿ‘€

Feature Updates

  • Custom Fields - Conditional Formatting Available in Numeric/Date Custom Fields ๐ŸŸข๐ŸŸก๐Ÿ”ด
Before: conditional formatting was available only for calculated custom fields.
Now: you can add conditional formatting to regular custom fields, such as percentage %, number, currency, date, and duration.
Note: these new settings are visible only on the New Table view, New Board view, and Work Item view (another reason to give them a try in Labs if you haven't already ๐Ÿ˜‰)
  • New Sidebar - Three-Dot Menu Button Added for The Whole Folder Tree (Almost) ๐ŸŒณ
We added a three-dot menu button upon hovering over the space name in the space switcher in the new sidebar. Also, the same button appears when you hover over any folder/project/tool within the folder tree. When you click on it the same menu appears that you would see if you right-click the name of the item in the sidebar.
We wanted to make working with Custom Item types easier for you, so we added the ability to create Custom item types right from the "green plus" button or from the item creation menu.
It works like this: when you want to create an item using Custom item types and you don't have the one you need in the list, you can click on the Customize menu and there it is, the Create new type button. When you click on the Create new type button you will now see a pop-up with the usual creation settings.
All users who are already familiar with the new Work Item view now will see it in the updated version. What changed:
  • A new panel above the task description with the assignee, status, and date fields. This can be set up from Custom item types settings - all these fields can be changed and replaced with any other system or custom field.
  • The right-side panel is now collapsable and can be hidden and brought back with one click.
  • The width of the Work item view now can be changed (made smaller).
This update is for users on the Team plan, as well as for those who already have Work Item view in their account (from using Custom item types or for any other reason).

+1 for weekly updates (this is something I love about Wrike - how often you all release new features!)

+1 for Sam's comment (the second one posted) about how difficult the release notes are to read in Gmail. The images are enormous and double the width of the page causing me to scroll, and all of the text is just as long too. I often have to click the link to come to the community post because the current formatting is almost unreadable. Also difficult to follow along with where one update stops and the new one starts. It would be nice to have different color blocks behind each individual update... even if it flipped from white to gray each time-SOMETHING to offset each topic a bit better.

And maybe it's just me, but sometimes I don't see the weekly release notes challenge posted in Wrike Stars. If we continue getting email updates, it would be nice to have a quick link to the associated Wrike Stars challenge. :)ย

Yes! Zuev Oleksii ะ—ัƒะตะฒ is right. Having more than three views available would be helpful. I use my own custom view which is no big deal for me to switch, but I would like to have more customized views for different groups.ย

Zuev Alexey Zuev
Make it possible to dock more than three views on the view panel at the same time!! It is extremely inconvenient (and not obvious) to press the "All" button every time and select the desired view!
Ideally, scroll the names of the views directly on the panel (in case there are a lot of them and they cannot physically fit on the screen).

Lisa

Regarding: Custom Fields - Conditional Formattingย Available in Numeric/Date Custom Fieldsย

Looks to work, but very limited coloring option with only 3 colors. For procent would like if the color can be scalable 0 to 100% like in Microsoft Excel see example screenshot below (I made steps of 5 so the list wouldn't be to big but it are 100 different colors)
