[Status: Backburner ⏳] Add 'Modified Date' and 'Completed Date' to exports - Allows project status reporting
When providing weekly status reports to manager or clients they usually want to know:
Activities Conducted Last Week
Activities Planned for Next Week
Currently there is not way to produce this report from wrike. Even if I export the tasks and use Excel to create the report, there is no modified date or actual completed date for me to filter on.
The columns exist in the wrike database (you can filter off some of them) so hopefully this is an easy fix to add to the export.
Hi Andrew, I think the Reports feature might help you do some of the things you mention.
To get started:
If you build a Report from scratch:
Once you create your Report, you can share it with other Wrike team members, or you can create a Report Snapshot which you can share with Wrike users or non-Wrike users. Happy to talk through this a little more, let me know if you have any questions. In case it helps, there is also a Help Center page on Reports.
I agree that this would be a useful and easy to to implement feature, as the data is there as @stephanie posted for filtering, but the collumn is not selectable in report view or export. I would like to be able to see the last modified date in the report view.
I would also like to include the Value of the "Last Date Modified" into my Task Reports.
We would greatly benefit if the last modified date was a column that could be added in the report view as well as the value of the last modified date.
For us, it would give users a snapshot on the tasks that haven't been modified/worked on for a while.
Is this something in the works? I need to be able to show when a task, specifically a milestone task, has been rescheduled.
Wrike, please provide an update. If it is a field, we should be able to report off of said field. This field is vital to reporting I need to produce.
@Sara Hey, thanks for reaching out here 🙂 We add one of the statuses to the suggestions that hit 60 votes, so it will help if this post got more +1's - this is how our Product team estimate popularity of the feature. For now I have no update on this, but I think I can suggest a workaround: you can add a Custom Field "Last modified date" and enter the date there - it will show up in the report. I know it's not an ideal solution, but I hope it can help you 🙌

Hi Lisa,
Do you mean for me to manually review each task then mark the date it was modified in a custom field? That is a process that would take a significant amount of time considering the number of tasks and sub-tasks we use.
It is also not ideal for me to continue to post comments to reach the "popularity" vote you require to make this change. If it is a provided field in the report filters, there is no reason it should not be reportable.
Sincerely,
Sara
@Sara I understand that this is important for your team, as well as others, which is why we really appreciate the feedback you share here. For now I can't share an update, but all the feedback here is passed to our Product team. I'll make sure to get back to you when I have news.

Big upvote here. Being able to filter on the modify date is a good start (would be even better if date filtering let us select arbitrary relative date ranges, as some have suggested in https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000537149-Add-future-time-frames-in-Dashboard-filters), but being able to actually show the data on the report/export is important for people to understand what the report is saying, and how stale the task/project has become.
I agree, this would be a great feature to add to Wrike report. If it was possible to automatically report on a date that the status was marked "Completed" etc., would be nice. We have many people on our team asking for this.
Hey everyone, quick update: the Product team is interested in that suggestion, so I've added "Backburner" status here. I'll keep you updated here 👍

At task level reporting, there are fields for created and completed dates. This allows us to find out how long it took the task to get completed. However at the project level, there is no completed date field. It would be very useful to have that field added as it would allow us to see how long it took to complete the project. The start date and finish date fields aren't of interest as it requires some manual interaction. Would rather have the fields be auto populated when the task/project gets completed.
Thanks again
Todd
A quick update, everyone: this is planned for 2020, so I changed the status to "Coming soon"! 😊
I'll get back to you here when I have more details.
Thank you for your upvotes and feedback!

Really need this one sooner rather than later, also commenting on the ability to use a filter "not modified in X days"
Id really like an idea of when, First I am still rather shocked and irritated that only after I signed up I find such a basic value as "Last Modified" is not available as a column for viewing or exporting in reports. Then to see it addressed with a coming in 2020. I am currently evaluating several other products who out of the box have this critiera, how did Wrike make such a miss? this is really the most basic of information. Can you give us a better idea of time frame? if its fairly soon, otherwise I am not sure I can keep using this tool when it is impacting my ability to communicate with the business or their ability to efficiently monitor activity. Thanks.
Hi Kerry Thomas, thanks a lot for reaching out!
This suggestion is currently planned for this year, but there's no ETA so far. I'll let you know as soon as I can.

@Lisa, thanks. I would really like to see two data points on both tasks and Projects:
- last modified
- and completed.
(In fact, "started" would be useful as well - I mean the date the actual status moves to "in progress" from "backlog," which very often can be different from the planned start date).
Could you clarify if you guys are going to add both of these, to both tasks and Projects? That would be a terrific addition, as I agree with most posters that this is sorely needed. In particular, with all the great Gantt functionality in Wrike, I think it's a big missing piece that you can't see easily when a Project or Task is actually completed.
Thanks again.
I would love to see this feature!! What i think would also be useful within this feature is, when marking a task as complete, being able to "backlog" the completion date.
Here is my specific use case - what if I have a task that is "Send email out" due 4/15, in which the email is automatically sent out through an online system, but I am out of office until 4/20, so I can't mark it complete until I get back to the office. My completion date will be 5 days late, but the email was actually sent out on the 15th. The work around of adding a custom field of actual completion will work, but a more concrete feature would be very useful in reporting and in day to day use!
Hey everybody, thank you for all of the feedback here! As soon as I have an update for you, I'll let you know.
@... Kim Oliver I think our reporting could really benefit from "last modified date". Check out this string and upvote.
I vote for a last Modified date and or Competed date for Projects in reporting. It seems odd that we can report on the date a Project is completed?
Hi everyone, thank you for your continued support for this suggestion! As you may know, our Product team planned to work on this, and they are still interested in this, but for now, as we can't provide an ETA, I've changed the status to "Backburner" to avoid any confusion. This might be disappointing news, but please rest assured that we'll continue to share your feedback and check for status updates.

Following this thread as I received an auto generated project status report from Asana and would love to provide these for projects in Wrike.
Hi Tina Mason, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here. We've passed this on to the team and will be sure to update the thread if we have any updates 👍

We are new to Wrike and this was something that was available in our previous system. It would be a massive help for managing my team, basically in line with the comments above. It would also seem fairly simple change to make, given you can filter on it.
Hello Ian West, welcome to Wrike and Community 🙋🏻♀️
